Window shopping....

229148? Another dun! Not sure I want a 'sensitive' horse though. Depends what seller mean by 'sensitive'.

I really like her. Reading between the lines, I would guess sensitive in that context would mean that she doesn't like being hassled or someone taking a strong hold.
I would describe Arty as sensitive because although you can ask quite a lot of her you do have to have a solid rapport with her first and if you push it too far the shutters come down very quick and you just get a wizzy blur. But that also makes her a joy to work with...she is sensitive because she cares and wants to get the answer right.

I like her too. I think she could be really rewardding. I do love mares and Amber is sensitive! I just don't like them too spooky.

why does she need a dental every 6 months?

Standard young horse thing I should think. My younger 2 are still every 6 months atm and Dabs was up until about 7. Vets/dentists usually recommend it. They just develop sharp edges really quickly at that age

I messaged and asked about the teeth. Don't want to buy a horse with diastema or anything like that!!

I quite like this one too 228900

Though for some reason his back legs look a bit odd on the video. I might just not be used to a horse with that kind of action? I have a friend with a British Riding Pony who skips along with straightish legs and it looks really weird to me but I am assured it is entirely normal!

Watching Albert I thought he must be about 17 hands and 4 years old. I think that horse would need to go back to the beginning to learn how to go forward and accept the contact. JMHO :) the hindlegs look active because he bends his hocks at lot but the canter is tending towards 4 time quite often and the trot isn't going anywhere, I thought the walk looked so very tentative.. almost like they were expecting him to blow but the description of his temperament doesn't fit that so I guess not. it really looked like a big young horse not in control of his body rather than a 15.1 7yo! He's a very attractive horse but really weak looking. Sorry I realise that sounds really negative, it's not meant to be but I think that's more of a project than one you can get on and go. I mean he would probably do the job but not necessarily with a lot of finesse or understanding in the flatwork.

That's really interesting. I was put off by the video but could not understand or explain why. So thanks for that. He does look weak and gangly.

Nice, DD!I don't know but I think if I was looking for a fun horse to get on, enjoy and bring on a bit, he looks like he is the ideal sort :) doesn't look complicated and already knows half the job.

it's impossible to say from one video obviously but I would say he has the appearance of a horse that is either really really soft in the mouth and a bit frightened of the contact, or has been hoiked into a frame, he's broken at the 3rd vertebrae and for me just not showing a feeling of being from the leg into the hand. I think that accounts for the drifting around like a giant horse, he is also not being sent forward for one reason or another, and coupled with a big rangy canter I think that would be a rather weird ride at the moment! i would like to see the handbrake taken off in walk and trot but it may be that he will take a while to find the ability or confidence to go to the contact and it's actually him that is making the walk and trot a bit pokey, can't really say. He also seems pretty narrow in front and hasn't got a lot in the way of topline which adds to the weak looking way of going I think. sounds like a sweet horse though.

Hold the phone, my Arty mare's Dad is for sale ?.
Ref # 227795

I don't have 6k or anywhere to put him but please can somebody nice buy him

He looks like the most amazing fun horse. If I was AE I'd have him on a box being delivered as we speak! I'm now wondering if I can find 6k and lose a few stone and fix my spine before lockdown ends...

From how he works, I'd be pretty concerned about his long term soundness. Also couldn't believe a 15,1 7 y/old could look so weak and uncoordinated...
yes I was trying to be positive but there's something that just says a big NO there, i agree.

Mmm, the way he's holding tensions through his tail and croup I would guess there is a bit of an SI type niggle there now. He does look very genuine though

I felt he was suspciously cheap though if he has placed top 10 BE and qualified for Champs. I have looked at a few ready made BE90/100 horses and they have always been miles over budget or older than I want.

He has been placed at BE80 but not done BE90, only unaff at that level so is not really that cheap, the fact he will not go novice is a bit misleading as he has not yet done 90 or 100's, it is a well written ad it is worth a call and a look at his record would be interesting.

If you’re looking for a nice connie I just happened to see some positive comments on a social media site about chloe cashmore re connies. Took a quick look (my mare is part connie and i love her so sold on the breed!) and she has some lovely youngsters. No idea on price though!
