Went to Bolton for years, the champ show was a real tradition the first weekend in January. Do they still have the open shows at Little Lever, used to do great pies in the kitchen! Mind you I am talking 30 odd years ago so probably well before your time.

We used to have the champ show (in the freezing freezing cold!) at Osbaldeston but now it's at Leverhulme park.

The champ show was indoors (Silverwell street) when I used to go, probably been pulled down now.

My dad said that was a long time ago and he remembers that! Bout the time he was taking our old shepherd - when she slipped her lead, ran from the obedience field to the agility course and climbed over the A frame of her own accord!
