I don’t want to argue because I actually agree with what you’re saying in reference to if the horse is showing discomfort and telling you they are.
Your original comment was less nuanced “I don’t agree with riding a mare in season. Its like asking a lady on her period to exercise” and that’s...
I agree that exercising a mare that is showing clear signs of discomfort is unfair.
I just don’t think comparing a horse’s reproductive cycle to that of a human’s is helpful. And yes, whilst everyone’s individual experience is different but the majority of women benefit from exercise. I too...
I agree that asking a mare that is sore in season, and is telling you that, is unfair.
however its a proven fact that for human females that exercise, strenuous or otherwise, reduces cramps and boosts “happy hormones” to cheer you up when you’re feeling low.
I doubt if studies have been done...
Its in that bigger time period, there will be low flying on those specific dates in those time slots.
They can’t go below 250ft unless licensed for a display etc
I am completely astounded that any employer thinks that they have the right to question you on or dictate to you what you do in your personal time. Even the military wouldn’t do that. I can’t see how that is remotely legal? And it doesn’t foster a good atmosphere, having to effectively ask...

You’re in a bit of airspace that gets used regularly for stuff as its quiet in terms of civilian traffic. Your nearest base is Leeming so could have been something out of there, but Typhoons will operate there as well. Its not a low flying area though so even if it seemed low it won’t have been...

This will also tell you when low flying activity is happening in low flying areas. But it won’t include displays
Where in the country are you? It’s the Royal International Air Tattoo this week until the 14th. So lots of low flying and displays. Its usually very well publicised
Horses have no pre frontal cortex so cannot apply logic to anything, therefore they cannot scheme or do things to take the mick. They literally don’t have the brain power.
They do have a limbic system though and feel emotions. And take the path of least resistance. So if a “naughty pony” bucks...
