Looking at the Dacia Duster for towing a very light single horse trailer and a 550kg pony on a B licence.
Duster specs:
Kerb weight (excluding driver): 1,325kg
GTW: 3,375kg
Max towing weight braked (driver only): 1,500kg
Max towing weight unbraked (driver only): 695kg
Thanks all. I was leaning on back person first I must admit... I didn't really want to start tweaking or changing our saddle without reason if he was happy in his back. But then as someone's said maybe he's starting to find it uncomfy doing jumping/ faster work?
Pony has always excitement...
General wondering, if you wanted to rule out issues would you get your saddle checked first or your horses back checked first? As if there is no issue with back it may not be saddle related?
Preston Farm in Bookham (easily accessible from A3) is dressage focused, onsite trainer, two schools, good turnout and they offer assisted or part livery. My pony never settled here for some reason but it is a nice yard.
This is going to sound like a very silly question but how do I get him forward without him speeding up and rushing, which he has a tendency to do.
He can be quite spooky so if he sees something to shy at he's already moving away from it with his body. We get into a bit of a battle of me...
My pony is very wiggly to hack so I'm hoping someone has some ideas!
In the school he is getting much better moving his shoulders over when asked however out hacking it seems to go out the window! He is always looking this way and that way with his neck, he has big shoulders so if he doesn't...

Another question out of interest could you tow a HB401/HB403 single trailer with a Ford Transit 85T280 S FWD on a B licence (again pony around 550kgs)...
What are my choice of small 4x4's if I was looking to tow a 575kg pony in a single trailer (say a HB401/ HB403) on a B licence?
What would be an economical car that would do the job based on the above? Would want the smallest 4x4 possible. Any recommendations please?
Bit of a WWYD as this has been running back and forth in my head for weeks so just wanted some opinions please!
Have a lovely pony who needs to be kept busy, I love my current yard even though no real schooling facilities it has fantastic hacking so I'm not willing to move however I really...
