    Best Fly Rug for Midges

Doesn’t have sweet itch but they are biting him something terrible on his whorls in front of his sheath, so doesn’t necessarily need to be an SI rug but one with good tummy coverage.

    Best Fly Rug for Midges

As the midges are bad already, I need to get my new boy a fly rug, as don’t want him getting too itchy when he goes out 24/7. What are the best rugs on the market currently as haven’t bought a new one in a number of years (other pony already has 4).

Charles Owen Pro 2 hat over

I may be being silly, how on earth do you use it to attach?

Charles Owen Pro 2 hat over

I do not want to attach anything to the hat that may leave residue or take off the colour - Velcro will also create problems with putting on another cover 😩

Charles Owen Pro 2 hat over

I have had the Charles Owen Pro II as my last couple of helmets, I love the hat, however the hat cover is abysmal at staying on. I seem to loose it in strong winds, too fast a canter etc, I’m losing the will with it! Has anyone found a way to secure these better to the hat? It’s driving me mad...

Purchasing at Clifden Sales (and also any breeder recommendations)

I am hoping to attend the next Clifden sales and combine this with visiting a few breeders if anything available with them at the time. Will be looking for a 3/4/5 yr old, broken ideally but unbroken also not an issue. Any hints, tips? Any warnings, aside from not getting carried away? Will of...

    Alternatives to corner hay bar

It’s an old sliding door now fixed into place, so no chance of getting behind. To borrow your expertise, would a wall anchor/expanding rawl plug be a sensible option for fixing? The job would be a little easier if it were a normal wall it has to be said.

    Alternatives to corner hay bar

Are they any good longevity wise? My concern would be she gets her leg in and rip the thing out the wall?

    Alternatives to corner hay bar

This is what I was thinking along the lines of. DIY is not my strong point, how do you keep the pallet from falling into the corner? Is it attached on both sides?

    Alternatives to corner hay bar

I have an older lady who has decided it’s much too hard work to eat her hay out of nets, who has her whole life been a greedy 🐷, but now on completely ad lib hay has given up the piggy ways. She has hay in a loose out in the field, has decided the loose hay is her preference and otherwise she’s...

Best memory piece made with hair ?

My girl went over the rainbow bridge this week and I miss her terribly and want to have something really lovely to remember her by. Aware of the usual bracelets/necklaces, I’d love a in the Wired Wild Wood, but they don’t appear to be taking orders. Has anyone had something different made? Any...

Making the horrid decision to book in PTS

My girl did her suspensionary irreparable damage end 2021, referral vets first option was PTS. We tried all the therapies and while these worked for a while her size has meant she has now declined again and we are now at the point where I need to make that decision to PTS. I’m really struggling...

    Mud Mats/Grass Mats

What are the best and most budget friendly options, I fear that this winter is going to be truly awful so preparing for the worst 😂

    Alternatives to Hay Bars

I’m looking for options other than hay bars, purely as one wall is a large metal door and one wood front to the stable, so need something I can attach into both surfaces and I do not think this is possible with a hay bar and limited DIY skills. To be used for soaked hay with a minimum of 2...

    Reblackening a Saddle ideas?

Amazing thank you! Boot polish was my first thought but wasn’t 100% sure it could be used on saddles. I shall start with that.
