To be honest we have no idea - it says Welsh x TB on the passport but we aren't that sure as all unknown. Reason we bred from her was more because of what she has done rather than breeding haha! He is very cute haha
Born late last night, colt foal by Primitive Faerie Tale out of Tamera Bay (My old Novice eventer). Her second foal and everything went perfectly so we are calling it quits after this one :)
Jealous of everyone - my weekend consists of revising for third year vet school exams that start Monday! I do at least have a horse to ride these days though so can't complain, and waiting for a foal too. Hope everyone has fun and good luck!
I've been to major studs who travel all theirs in 3.5t boxes - they were little racing boxes with a separate grooms area though. Should be absolutely fine!
Interested to see people have said we need dressage stars not people who have done it already. But, Izzy was on 40 after dr on Allercombe Ellie so think she's in with a shout. I think it would be naive to send Emily King off the back of a fall like that - it'll take a while to get the mojo back...
I'd say Gemma, Tina, Izzy and Kitty.
Izzy has strength in depth with her string, and 8th at Badminton with that horse was impressive, as were the other 2. You can't ignore people in top 10!
I think it looks like the saddle is either too big for you, or fitted incorrectly meaning it tips you back. I ride a gelderlander and have never had this with him so wouldn't put it down to breed. Getting a saddle fitter is definitely a good plan!
I used to go a lot when I was on ponies - I found with young and inexperienced types the indoor was very spooky, but my event pony who was an old hand didn't mind it at all. It is only a 20x40 indoors though so when you go in you can't really go round the boards so much as circle inside them...
My Welsh x TB (in signature) ex eventer (22 points, up to 1*) is in foal to Primitive Faerie Tale due late May/early June.
Her second foal and she's 14. We have a full sister from last summer who is lovely if looking a bit awkward at the moment!
The bromonts drop significantly over time as you break them in - mine used to be too long, so i had a heel riser in each and they're still going strong 4 and a half years on and are super super comfy.
Having said that, I'm in my third year of study and plan to do an internship after graduating - mainly because if you think its bad for you when a new vet is lacking confidence, imagine how they feel! I'd rather gain confidence in a more controlled environment before being out on the road alone...
