I am so sorry both for your loss and the horrible turn this thread has taken. We have all taken liberties with horses and tragic accidents do happen. If everyone had hindsight the world would be a wonderful place.

I'd give him a chance. I have known a number of horses with just one eye and all have done just fine and still been ridden and even competed.

I thought it was a great race and the fact there were no falls until the 8th fence was testimony to the improvements made. I also think not having the parade meant the horses were a lot more relaxed at the start. A great result for all the connections.
