When you have a new farrier what would you expect from them? Would you expect them to trot horse up, see how they move etc? Or would you just expect them to get on with shoeing?

Has anyone tried above? My horse has been scoped for ulcers and vet couldn't decide if he had ulcers or not. He is being fed on Baileys No14 balancer and light chaff and is currently out 24/7 and is quite settled. We will be moving yard soon and am worried this may stress him and would like to...

Yes, unfortunately he will follow through with the threats. He has kicked me (when I first had him) and also my old yard owner. He has also had a close call with the farrier. Its got to the point where its really getting to me as I worry that he could hurt someone. Luckily the owner of the horse...

That is how I deal with him and as I said before he is perfectly well behaved with me - it's other people he hates.
