I'm confident she would sell as she is very pretty, very easy and has a nice attitude. I have considered a youngster but having to do everything on my own puts me off. The first 2 weeks of heading out in the middle of nowhere on my own on an experienced one when I don't know them is bad enough!
Hello
I would really appreciate people's opinions as I keep going round in circles about what to do.
I have 2 horses who I keep at home. My horse of a lifetime who is sadly retired due to arthritis at 11 and a mare who I bought to ride once my other horse retired. She is a very sweet mare who...
Kent and masters look to have more widths than bates and the blue looks really quite narrow. I was wondering whether the K&M orange (wide/extra wide) was more equivalent to the Bates red (wide), or whether Bates wide and K&M wide were similar.
Hello
I've got a new horse and neither of my current saddles fit. My Bates is the right width on the red (wide) plate but doesn't sit well. My Kent & Masters sits nicely but is too narrow on its current blue S bar gullet. I'm getting a saddle fitter out as quickly as possible but in the mean...
Hello I used limestone 5mm to dust on top of my type 1. Got it delivered from the quarry and barrowed it round the yard. Has given a lovely surface much kinder for barefoot.
Im convinced the behaviour is linked to pain somewhere - she might be neurotic but she is a friendly little mare and never nasty. I'm also 100% convinced she has ulcers. In hindsight she had all the signs - wood chewing, soil licking, lying down a lot etc. I just need to find out why! She is a...
Hello I've got a little Irish mare who sometimes bronks when you get on (I'm talking major rodeo). Last summer we linked it to painful seasons (it happened religiously for 1 day every 23) so she's been put regumate and has been better but she still occasionally feels like an unexploded bomb and...
I bough a rising 6 year old mare 2 weeks ago who I'm struggling to integrate into my herd. I have a 10 year old cheeky retired gelding and one very old mare. Both the new mare and my gelding are fine turned out with the older mare but the new mare has taken a real shine to my gelding and follows...
I've got a very large vets bill that has gone over the 5k limit on my policy. I know I have a 250 excess. Does this mean that for a 5500 claim I pay 750 and the insurers pay 4750 (the 5000 minus the 250 excess) or do i pay 500 and the insurers pay 5000? If anybody knows it will help me...
