Yes it does unfortunately and a horse with such a big shoulder is only going to struggle to work correctly through its back when the back end is so weak.

I think at 5'2 its more about what you feel happy on. You are neither very tall nor very heavy so I wouldn't really say there was anything you should avoid. Like already said at 14 you can still compete in pony classes if competing is something you want to do so I would also say 14.2 and under :)
