Dressage More "over" the back and "through" from behind

Hi As above really :) I have a really cute horse who does a very respectable test and the above are the comments I got at the weekend. Apart from working deeper and over poles is there anything else I can do? He was very behind the bit when I got him and is so much better but we struggle to get...

Horse lost weight for the 2nd Spring in a row.....

Yep wormed regular, has plenty of feed, lots of hay all winter looked great up to end of March so coped with all the snow etc without dropping weight...... Has no problem grazing and seems to be really enjoying life. It's completely got me dumbfounded that it's happened again at the same time...

Working full time 9-5..... how many times a week do you ride?

I work 9-5:30 with an 1 1/2 commute. I used to ride 6x a week but horse is now 14 miles away so I only ride 5 x a week purely as the petrol costs are killing me but hoping to move within a few miles of the yard. We do BE.

Dubarry Yard Boots - Do They Leak?

Mine split after 13 months (1/2 way up the sole so between bottom of boot and the leather if that makes sense). Called Dubarrys who didn't want to know. Considering I was only 4 weeks out of guarantee I was very unimpressed for such an expensive boot..... Much prefer Ariats now as 1/2 the price...

It's to help keep the horse balanced when on a circle or corners. :)

Dangerous driving - would it be worth contacting the police?

I'm guessing you are both kitted out in high viz? Maybe try that POLITE notice tabbard which looks like you are actually the police? A friend had a tabbard made with a silhouette of a horse and rider then an arrow with 1 or 2m then silhouette of a car to show the safe passing distance...... I...

How much involvement should an old owner have?

I would have said none but when reading your post I opted for the something useful/first comp/death etc as it sounds like old owners were more interested in good home than price. Hope it all works out and both parties are happy :)

    Hay everywhere!

haybar! If he takes it out then put in net and put a tie ring 1/2 way down inside the harbar and bingo no loose hay and no dangerous haynet for feet to get caught up in :)

    people ‘helping’ with loading

Mine every single time! I go out alone so it can be frustrating if she plants. That said tho she is very sensitive and only the lunge line works. ALL very quietly and gently. Last time out she went in as soon as my friend picked it up. I think it is a really nice method with no shouting and...
