    Drop nosebands

Shires do them, I bought one from barnstormers a month or so ago

    Katie Price riding

Really? So what do you think spurs are for, then? Why do you imagine all the top riders use them? Is the wearing of spurs a sure-fire indicator of your lack of riding ability? I have no affinity for Katie Price, she is too orange for me. But I fail to understand where all the negativity...

    Katie Price riding

If she wasn't a 'name' and she had posted a pic on here all she would have received by way of response would have been 'awwww stunning'. She maybe would have got one or two moaning about her tack choice (although why that is anyone elses business is beyond me!) and the odd few bemoaning a lack...

    Polo taster session

When I had a taster lesson we used a wooden horse first, to get the hang of actually swinging the mallet and hitting the ball, then we moved onto the ponies. They were amazing, just a tiny shift of weight and they whipped round at a canter. It was brilliant fun!

Nice everyday jods that don't break the bank?

Not as slim as my breeches would like! They are good breeches and flattering too.

Nice everyday jods that don't break the bank?

Mark Todd ones - I think mine are Gisbourne. They are bloody tight but they make me look super slim!

    Paranormal activity???

I might investigate more once I have cleaned it. It really is minging!

    Paranormal activity???

I'm not poking around up there! It's filthy! There are some ancient pegs for a sweep to climb and a hook for smoking food on (I presume) :) Unless the builders abandoned their Marlboro lights up there...

Have you ever witnessed a horse attack....

Stroppy. Ribby. Stressy, won't settle when ridden. Won't go in an outline. Rips my mares rugs. Bites. Kicks. Picks at hay - eats 1 to 2 slices overnight in winter to my mare's 6 or 7. Never But not mine. Only so many 'suggestions' I can make. But I am genuinely intrigued all the same. I...

    Paranormal activity???

We have just exposed a big inglenook fireplace in our 350 yr old cottage, and I am wondering whether somebody else might be in our house now. We can smell tobacco and the night the whole fireplace was exposed I had to go upstairs to try and trace what was making a thumping noise in our bedroom...

Have you ever witnessed a horse attack....

Like I said it isn't my horse and therefore isn't my business. If it was my horse it would have been on some kind of hormone suppressant plus coligone or something similar for ages! I won't be bringing it in again in a hurry, I shall make sure of that. I have tactfully suggested trying the...

OMG - the weather for next week...

The met office are dire! They even stopped their month ahead predictions last year because their forecasting was so awful. Netweather.tv is quite good though.

Have you ever witnessed a horse attack....

.....it's own droppings?! There is a supremely hormonal mare who shares turnout with my totally hormone-free mare. Yesterday the mare was squealing, fly kicking, lashing out and rearing at nothing. It was my delightful task to bring her in, as the person who had been asked to do it was too...

What other animals does everyone have?

Ill be the thicko - what's a Betta? I have a doberman, a german pointer, a long haired cat and a half oriental cat. And one horse, who deliberately stood on my foot and is therefore not my friend any more.

long & low or asking for bend ? advice please *vid*

Looking at the video, he looks a lot like my horse in the way he goes. He looks like he isn't really working from behind. I have been working on a lot of leg yielding lately, to try to encourage her to really step underneath and use her back and rear end properly. We always start straight away...
