I bought one of these rugs a few weeks ago, and it has been fabulous!!!
I have tried the Pagony (in two sizes) and it just wouldn't stay on the horse right.
I tried the snuggy hoods, but my horse hated it.
For years we've been using the Rambo sweetitch hoody and it has been ok, but the weight...
Well, I think it's all down to manners, really. That and risk assesment.
If I'm riding on a busy road and my horse dungs, I'll leave it, because to try to stop and move it I'd probably cause an accident.
However, if my horse poos on a footpath where there are a lot of walkers, I'll kick it to...
Hi Hunny, don't worry, it will come back to you.
You look a little tense to me in the top photo.
Maybe you are trying too hard? It could also be the saddle is pitching you forward. (maybe try bareback for a bit and see how that feels. if you feel safe with that idea?)
What a lovely wee cob...
Dr Cooks, definately.
You will be able to find a cheaper version of Dr Cooks on e-bay. A crossover/crossunder bridle is what you want.
I changed to bitless on a whim and have never looked back.
I do endurance in bitless and the horse is much more relaxed and I don't worry about removing her...
that's what I was thinking, that's exactly what I was thinking.
hmmm, so I either get the sewing machine out again, or I sell it on e-bay and buy a smaller one.
Only problem is they only seem to do 5' 9" or 6' 3" !!
I guess I would need to try the 5' 9"
Thanks for your advice Cahill. Nice to be...

I adjusted the shoulder straps up as tight as they would go, but she still came in in in the morning looking like MC Hammer.
I then sewed a strap along the elastic bit at the front of the chest, but it still slips back.
My horse normally wears a 6 foot rug, but the only...
HI Guys, I bought a Pagony Eczema rug recently after advice from you kind chaps on here, but I am finding that it just slips back all the time and is very tight on the withers.
Any one else with this problem?
Is it just my horse?
Do I perhaps need a smaller rug?
He's got a good front end with a nice sloping shoulder.
Yes, he is a bit goose rumped, but his tail is well set on.
From the under saddle photos it looks as though he moves forward well and is tracking up. He's not too heavy, which I like to see, and he's nicely marked to boot.
Looks as though...
We've got a sand and rubber mix arena and I ride in it as long as it's not frozen too deep. If it's only got a crust of ice on it then it's fine after a few circuits.
You will know as soon as you step on it how solid it is.

I have found shires jackets fantastic value for comps both navy and tweed, but they are quite a close fitted cut.My friend has the most beautiful mears tweed, (expensive) a sort of pale olive with a russet check but it is quite roomy in the the boob departmet so try them on if you can...
