bucking thru' excitement - tell off or not?

Thanks the all the replies! Yep, I do tend to ignore him and just keep riding, altho' to be honest if they are huge we sometimes have to stop for me to "readjust my position" (ie. haul myself off his neck and get back and back into the saddle!). Forget-me-not - yep, good advice! Certainly the...

Urrrggghh, (vomit icon needed!), chesnuts, bleuuurgh...

Ok, so strarting to think I'm slightly weird here , but I have an almost phobic dislike of the dreaded things, they really do make me feel quite queasy !!! Anyway, grooming the boy this morn, ran body brush down front leg, he moved, caught leg with wooden bit of brush...and whole top of...

    Why do you hate Arabs

I love them! Guess there's always an exception but all I've known have been fab! Worst thing I did was sell my pure bred mare! She was incredibly versatile, could go for hours, jumped whatever you pointed her at and go work "on the bit" with lovely paces. She had stacks of personality...

Hi PF Please could you either send me the fact sheet or post some more details for the soaked oats diet. I'm aware you have to feed alongside some supp (is it calcium?) but haven't got a clue about it other than that. Think I'm going to give it a go with my boy, as I've tried everything else...

how "schooled" would you want horse to be to hunt?

Thanks for all your replies , just to stress the point that I'm not asking whether he needs to be able to go in an outline, and I certainly wouldn't expect him to spend a day's hunting working "on the bit" !!! My concern was that he can be very unbalanced in canter, I didn't know whether...

So slap on the wrist for me, but does anyone have any idea what's best way to clean it up and renourish it? Also will it still be OK...

how "schooled" would you want horse to be to hunt?

Hi As it says above just wondering what level of schooling/how "together" you would want a horse to be to hunt it? Would love for my boy to go, but I'm a bit concerned that he can struggle with his balance in canter - I'm not sure how he would cope with cantering downhill, it's like watching...
