Apologies in advance, because I haven't read the whole of the thread.
I work for a charity helping vulnerable families just like Sams'. In the area I work our demographic is very split- we have extremely wealthy families and at the same time 5 of our wards (in 1 area) are in the top 10% of...
As a bit of an aside, but still relevant....
The small holding next to some of our sheep suddenly sprung a visitor at the weekend. Someone had put their horse in their horse paddock overnight. The horse was in good condition and rugged well, so presumably had been loved and cared for...
Sorry, but I know i'm going against the general grain here but our daughters pony is kept on her own. She does have sheep in the paddock with her, but if they dare stray into 'her' part she chases them away (said paddock is fenced in 4-sheep can walk under fence). When we bought her, we also...
I feel your pain too. Slightly different, but a few years ago I bought a Land Rover. When it had to go into the garage a short time later we were told that the back axle had completely rotted through and needed replacing. It cost us a small fortune, but taught us a very valuable lesson-never...
Big hugs and vibes to you both. I hope the operation is a success and that she gets some relief ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Tbh KKC I wasn't expecting you to feel sorry for her. I was more thinking along the lines that she might have some problems that you were unaware of and she was trying to avoid you through sheer embarrassment or some such like. Sorry that my comments have offended you.....
Sorry, can't really be of much help, but something occurred to me when reading that she hasn't paid Augusts rent yet. Is it possible that something in her circumstances have changed and that she is struggling financially?
I think you sound an amazing person TG. You obviously have a true zest for life. You respect other people, ask for their opinions and then listen to what they have to say, not an easy feat. Carry on enjoying the summer, September comes round quick enough-plenty of time for the serious stuff...
Hi TnC. I would just like to say that although I'm 'only' the mum of a horsey daughter, I've followed this thread with interest. I think this has been extremely brave of you to be this open, and to give us all the chance to understand things from your side of the fence. Please keep up the what...
I agree with sf. IVF is hard, having something to take your mind off things is a godsend, and may also help stop you worrying about things you can't control (of which there are lots when you're going through it).
Good luck and I hope it all works out for you x
Yep, this has happened with my daughters pony... but 2 years down the line we still have her. We were sold her as a schoolmaster, an absolute confidence giver but she's not. She's more like a second ride. She's wonderful with my daughter, but is extremely headshy (not anything we've done) and...
The problem I have is that this particular poster always seems to start a thread which kick starts a huge debate. The thread isn't necessarily about her, but can be about some aspect of horse care like the horse kicking thread running atm. No-one on that thread is 'having a go' at the OP, but a...
