I have used Animal Friends for 3 ish years and have found them great. They pay within 3 days of receiving a claim and have even paid out on back dated claims for me. Very happy.
Thanks for your replies everyone!
She is paddock sound and unlevel in constant work. The ET centre have others with her issues and their / my vets are happy with her ability to carry a foal.
I'm not in a position to be able to keep a lawn mower and don't want her to be passed about hence...
After 7 months of trying to get my lame mare sound with no success, I'm trying to find her an alternative career. The idea of her becoming a recipient mare for the embryo transfer process has been suggested and I now have 3 centres interested in her. I think I've decided which centre I would...
I had a beautiful coloured mare by him. She was a real handful when I got her but I think she'd had some tough times. A very fast learner, sharp and most definitely 'alpha mare.' I re-backed her and sold on and she's pony club eventing.
A 16.3 WB long mare in a IW505 with no partitions and full length bars. It's a squeeze but she's a fab traveller and very happy in it. She loves her little stable on wheels as there's always good food in it :-)
Mine is 6. Went lame 4 months ago. Suspected navicular changes. She's got wedge shoes on, had Tildren and steroid injection into her coffin joint. Attempted to start bringing her back into work 4 weeks ago but after 5 days of 10 mins in walk, she was more lame than ever. Back on limited turnout...
I have them for my horse and dogs. Horse has just been diagnosed with navicular and they've paid all bills (£2k) within days of receiving them. Also paid out for 2 dog operations with no problems. As far as insurance companies go, I'm happy :-)
I had the same with my mare being led in from the field. It then escalated quickly and before long she realised that stopping anywhere (loading, going to mounting block, hacking) meant she could get away with it :-( I did some groundwork with a pressure and release halter and my problem was...
I contacted my previous horses breeder by email and got a lovely reply, saying she had done a lot with them (ODE, showjumping) and including photos. Which was great as she was being sold as 'green'! :-) She was a bargain!
It is amazing how people's views differ so much. My horse was worked 6 times a week including flatwork, jump, lunge, hack and usually boxed out to a comp or lesson once a week. Usually 40 mins - 1 hour of work a day. I would say that's medium work, if that, but it was much more than anyone else...
I had something similar but I don't know the seller. Girl is advertising her horse on FB. I liked the look of it and clicked on her profile to see if there were any other photos. There were lots, with a few of it rearing and lots of comments below from her and her friends saying how naughty it...
