    First Unaff Dressage Show eeekkkk

Have a realistic goal in mind - pick one of the movements from the test that you'll be really pleased with and aim to do it the best you can. Something like one of the trot to canter transitions or a perfect circle, something that you've worked really hard to achieve. Go through your previous...

Suspensory injury in horses and operations

Hi there, Just doing a bit of a search for more information as one of my horse's has unfortunately damaged both hind suspensory ligaments. A bit of history: June 2009 he first damaged the right hind suspensory. He was put on box rest and shock wave therapy and injections ensued. From...

Megatex - anyone heard of it?

That's the stuff! Thank you very much guys. Flowerlady, he wears a anti-rub vest during winter when I rug him up but it's either not prevented it or someone else on the yard has not put it on when he's been turned out. Just one of those things - but this stuff should be a life saver!

Megatex - anyone heard of it?

A friend recently mentioned something called Megatex (or similar) when we were talking about a bald patch caused by rugs over the winter. Apparently it's great for helping hair or mane to grow back. I can't find it anywhere though. Has anyone heard of it and can you recommend where I can get it...

I just wanna quit!! Long and ranty!

Another one over here! I work 60 miles away from home and always see my horse after work, who is about 15 miles from home. All in all I do about 130 miles a day and get home somwhere between 9-10pm when I finally have dinner. I took the job when I was desperate several years ago and haven't...

Liveries!! Tell me if i'm wrong. Rather long sorry!

What an awful situation to be in and you've done everything you can to help so I can appreciate how it's really testing your patience now. I can imagine though that your conversation with the teenager may have been relayed to the mother incorrectly and as someone else mentioned her nose is...

    garlic for sarcoids? or thuja?

I've been using thuja cream and tablets for just over a week. I was away for 4 days at Badminton and when I got back the raised sarcoid/wart had dropped off! The other one is still there but seems to be looking better. Advice from everyone at my yard was to try anything herbal before calling...

    Grace's Sarcoid in stages...

I'm just about to order some thuja cream and tablets as my boy has what I think are sarcoids on his sheath. Was only a tiny one last year and this spring a new one has developed, so I think it's time to do something. JetSet - did you get the cream you mentioned from your vet? Is it somthing...

Bowen Therapy - For Or Against??

Definitely for! I've been at a bit of a loss with my boy recently - it takes ages to get him to soften and relax into a contact and outline. And then someone else rode him for me when he was being particularly naughty and suggested it might help. I was away with flu for 10 days and gave him...

    Lessons with Lucinda Green

I'm guessing it's the same clinic as the one they've been running at H&C TV for a bit, which was filmed at Wellington. She back at Wellington in May.
