Eventing in less that 4 weeks...really?

I think sandy ground events are going to be very popular! Running at Osberton & Oasby & judging by the way our sandy fields have dried in the wind this week, a lot can happen in 4 weeks! Our ground is perfect, considering getting the jumps back out on grass! Different story last week!

Building your own Working hunter style jumps - ideas?

Use everything & anything as fillers! I've used planter trays from garden centre for water trays with yellow rubber duck floating on them! Milk churns, shavings bags (bed max) I've got a gate filler & put one of our for sale signs next to the wing, scarecrows in the wings, life size stuffed calf...

How many of you compete BE on a ticket?

I did a few on a ticket last year & quite a few un/aff which ran over same course! Osberton, Oasby, Shelford all un/aff then Shelford 2, Winkburn & Norton Disney affiliated. Only one I got balloted was Oasby 2, but I did leave it quite late to enter! This year I'm still undecided........ May do...

EMDG Osberton One Day Event in February

LOvely event, really well run, Novice = a soft be90, I'd say, very pretty estate & usually a good variety of fences, water, ditches, bank etc! Will try not & fall off this year!

    Keeping hat silks on HSi's!

Fabulous, thanks for all your replies! Mine is one of the earliest hsi and hardly any grip on it, compared to new silver ones! I've got the proper cotton lined treehouse silk and real velvet! I think I'm off to buy some Velcro!! Looks like a common design fault!

What would these "symptoms" point towards in your experience?

I hope she's alright Kat, fingers and toes crossed! My friends horse just be diagnosed with hock spavins and that was really struggling to canter on the left rein = off side hock spavin! So if she's fine with that, i would be going higher up maybe! Bob strained his sacro illiac muscel when...
