    Equitrek ramp issues??

Thanks for replies. Kal40 yeah it has been regularly serviced. We bought it brand new and it is fairly regularly used, so struts should be lasting more than 2 years.

    Growing out a clip

I clipped my guy just after Christmas and you'll still be able to see slight clip lines in June! He's a laid back chap and keeps that attitude when it comes to growing his summer coat.

    Equitrek ramp issues??

Thanks. It is the gas struts, which to be honest do not look sturdy enough to be the only things holding the ramp (no springs). It had been sitting for a week maybe 2, in which it went from having to jump to pull it down to nearly crushing my sister. It then got used quite a bit in a few days...

    Equitrek ramp issues??

Hi not sure if this is the best area for this. Has anyone had any problems with their Equitrek ramp? We have an Endeavour, had it for about 2 years and pretty much over night the ramp went from being light to very heavy. Any replies would be great. Thanks

    dear god - some people

Its makes you wonder how some people manage to get through life! We had a mare for loan a while ago, we were very honest in ad as she's very sensitive, mareish etcetc and yet we got a people up who were fairly novicey. So stopped trying to loan her out as wasn't fair. One of the girls on our...

How do you know when it's time to move up a level?

Agree with what everyone has said might as well, just find a test that suits you and your horse. My guy tends to go better when more to do, generally because I actually ride! Whether at prelim, nov or elem tend to get similar scores if not get better as go up levels. Good luck.

Lighthearted!! Let's see your jumping bloopers!!!

This thread is amazing! This is just one pic from a very unpleasant round, at least they were just hamster size so didn't matter if plus or minus a stride! http://www.stephenhammondphotography.co.uk/?Action=VF&id=838313819&ppp=0&ppwd=fm9298rg

spavins, spavins, spavins! advice needed please?

My guy is 16yo now he was diagnosed with spavin a few years ago. He got steroids in both hocks. Not very helpful as can't remember properly but think he was off for a couple weeks then had to start walking around fields or hacking (where ever had long straight lines) and building to full work in...

    Black or navy? Show dress...

Is personal choice. I would always go for navy jacket and hat with flesh coloured straps as think it looks a bit more elegant. Also navy hats usually look better with green tweeds.

    riding tests?

Thats what I thought but when was looking for the RT tests found in Appendix 5 of rulebook that they were permitted?? https://www.bhs.org.uk/Riding/British_Riding_Clubs/BRC_Rulebook/Appendices_1_to_23.aspx So not sure if its a new rule. Also says whips are allowed in championships?!

    riding tests?

Yep all the same as dressage just tried to find the test on BHS website but couldn't, if you look hard might if them on the site somewhere. Did find out the spurs are actually legal in riding tests.

Dressage with natives & an intro

I do unaff elem with my D, everyone says should aff though. I know a quite a few m+m's that do aff BD. One welsh D was on GB teams last year, another D who is only 5 just did his first elem's at the weekend getting 64% and 68%. Both ponies usually get about 70% if not more!! Always good to see a...

    riding tests?

Dressage is more judging how the horse goes. Whereas riding tests focus more closely on the rider and how the test is ridden, also you are not allowed spurs in a riding test. They are done at riding clubs, I've only ever done them at Area competitions to qualify for RC nationals.
