    Embarrased about viewing horses :(

Thanks every one - i must say I feel much more relaxed after all the great and sound advice! I am 100% sure now I do want to postpone for next year, just to get more intensive riding in and also maybe do the bhs owners certificate.. Just looked at the horse and hound ads.. Very daunting - so...

Yes we have spoken and I also have the money to provide as much training as needed etc.. And loads of support at the new place.. But reading over my posts and replies i'm pretty much thinking to postpone because i don't want to go into this when i am unsure about something, anything., i want to...

    Embarrased about viewing horses :(

Thanks for all your advice,, to the poster who said they hope they are not being harsh - of course you are not being harsh, i wrote on this forum for honest advice and so i'm prepared to hear anything. I've decided on two things: 1. Postpone buying for one year and just ride and ride and ride...

    Embarrased about viewing horses :(

Thanks for all the replies - i actually replied to a few but seems to have not published! I will try to sum up what I meant to answer.. I'm not nervous at all about sitting on an unknown horse, i actually find this quite exciting. I've been riding so many different horses this year (riding...

    Embarrased about viewing horses :(

Yes I totally totally understand why they are cancelling on me! I would also.. That's why I'm so frustrated with myself. Yes i've been having private lessons for a year now so am really getting back into it.. I guess I just have no idea about what stage i need to be at to view a youngster, which...

    Embarrased about viewing horses :(

I feel a bit ridiculous for writing this but am feeling a bit down so here it goes! I am finally in a position to buy a horse and have been searching for a while now.. I have had a very long time away from horses so my riding is not at all what it used to be. I wouldn't say i'm a good or...

    Charles Owen hat

I have a Charles Owen J3 - love love love it! It's PAS015, skull so fine for cross country and it's low profile so looks nice. The reason I love it though is because it's the comfiest hat I've ever worn, fits perfectly - but you need to get fitted to see which hats fit your head shape (e.g...

Did you have a break and get back into horses?

Yes I had a huge break. I sold my pony and went to London for uni.. I went from a country horsey life to mad, intense London life. I stop competing after selling and then stopped riding altogether. I didn't go near a horse for years as I missed mine and then ended up diving into the whole London...

Decent adult riding lessons - North London area??

South medburn was the worst, truly worst, riding school I have ever been to (the teaching and horses). On top of that, you have to pay a membership fee in addition to every riding lesson, which are expensive.
