I'm five two and I ride a 15hh welsh sec D. 14.2hh to 15.2hh is ideal for me anything bigger than 16.1hhish i struggle with on the ground as I have an old injury to my right arm and have issues with rugging up and tacking up. I do however prefer long striding small horses :) x

Oh and it was the farmer not a contractor......I am however not having a go at all farmers most Ive met have been very considerate to me and my friends while out on the horses....however not everyone in the world is a nice/reasonable person whether they are a farmer or a horse rider....x

Have you seen my later posts about this? The farmer accelerated towards us so fast before we even had a chance to turn round that all the horses were so wound up that we all barely managed to maintain control....I was on my friends horse who cantered sideways and bunny hopped all the way down...

My mare wears them overnight partly to help dry her legs off after hosing the mud off and partly to help keep her legs warm, I love them :) x
