    Locked Stifle??

I know a horse with a locking stifle- agree with the others doesn't sound like it really. Its a very obvious kind of 'lock' usually- the le gets sort of stuck, usually out backwards- and then kind of snaps back into place with no after effects.

    Rearing in hand

I have a gelding who is normally completely laid back, very easy to handle etc etc- he did this a couple of times last year and it was when he was being turned out in a field in which he was the most dominant of the herd. Never had the problem again once he moved and wasnt at the top of the...

Oh that's interesting! You learn something new every day :) My grammar is sadly lacking- I just assumed that there must be another way of putting it correctly in order to distinguish between the two possible meanings :D

Checklist for buying a new horse?

Whilst I agree that asking questions can sometimes be pointless as anybody could potentially lie- there might be some value in getting 'written' answers to questions. For example, she could phone and make initial enquiries and then ask if she could email with any further questions. An honest...

Where to advertise for sharer in Devon?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I will go on the facebook page and it is really interesting to hear that it might be difficult to find someone actually in Moretonhampstead- I had suspected that, it seems as if most people have their own horses there already!

I am just wondering whether anybody can recommend a particular flourescent jacket/vest which stays put and is not easily rippable for my terrier cross?
