I can't see how a Dog Owner can be held responsible for chasing, injuring or killing a cat that enters their garden. Dogs who have an extremely high prey drive or are chasers will get to a cat long before an owner can move or try to recall. I owned a bitch who was a supreme cat hater (She was...
I echo similiarly what another poster said. Stop the faffing about in the field. Arrive, get him and take him in. He seems to display this behaviour in possible frustration at what he anticipates is your arrival equalling him getting the attention/food whatever. When you don't, he gets...
To be perfectly blunt. Goldfish get a rough deal. They are partied about as being easy to keep fish and because of their resilience are often the 'not cared about' fish, people think they can bung them into any old situation and let them cope with it. It doesn't mean they should. I have had...
Serious question. We don't seem to have this problem in Aberdeenshire. I read somewhere that Aberdeenshire as a county has a large amount of equestrian enthusiasts compared to the rest of the UK ( Might not be true just repeating figures read). This is in no way meant as an argument but why so...
Apparently Redwings are taking the horses. I'm sure they would appreciate donations (If people have already done so I apologise) but no doubt they will need extensive care and rehabilitation if possible.
I don't agree with how his horses were kept or treated. However, I do think that this man is not of a 'normal' state of mind. I sincerely hope he is found safe and well.
My daughter is 19 and has a house rabbit. She took him from a neighbour who wasn't caring for him at a few months old. He is very clean (toilet trained), very affectionate, playful and does the most endearing of things. When he sees her he runs to greet her and 'chats' with her. Sleeps with her...
Well done and very brave of you!
Have only ever caught one of our own. Daughter and I had split at a fork on a bridleway, she was riding and I was with the JRT. I continued down a stony track and she split off onto a smaller deer track really (Plan was to meet up at a certain point later)...
Can you borrow a friend for him until you find a horse that suits you and Mum? That's what a friend of mine did, borrowed two little Shetlands to keep her gelding company after her mare died. When she found her new mare, they went back home. It could be a long, lonely, stressful time for him...
Wouldn't allow any of them near any of mine until they had received some more education and learned respect that ponies are not machines. I do think that if they ARE fifteen years old then they should have started to learn more, you won't get off with that once you move up to horses.
