Oh yeah that sounds about right. It's definitely not super thick, but it's got a decent amount of padding for it. I'm after getting her a slightly warmer one for this winter, but I don't know whether to bother because I normally just double rug if it's very cold (she's ancient and she feels the cold). But then she hasn't had a new rug for ages so it would be nice to spoil her!
