no they're now in my back field..they were due to go this morning...
 
What is their breeding and they have not got any ailments and have they been handled at all.

If they are sound and healthy and you took some better photos of them you could get more money for them.

I have had a quick look on NFED for you forest bred ponies born in 2007 are being advertised for between £400-£650 but you need to handle them a bit and maybe smarten them up to make them look more appealing to get that sort of price.

I have a 7 year old forester who I bought a few year back as a just turned 5 year old and paid £3k for him - they may not look very special now but who knows where their talents lie in a few years time they could make lovely riding ponies for kids or adults.

My mum paid £500 for my 2/3 year old (unsure of exact age!) nfxtb in 2005. He was from a dealer and has no papers at all the dealer bought him for meat unless sold before hand... infact we have spent alot more on him after his summer in hospital etc but i wont go into that lol.

I believe the original question was rhetorical and used to highlight just how low the meat value of horses has become.

As I perviously tried to indicate, if the meat man does not want them and the sale price has dropped to such a low level, then what is going to happen to the constant stream of foals that the horse breeding industry keeps producing?
