Avoid buying a horse with these names

Lucky - generally means the horse had an accident early on and the owners went 'hey, that was lucky - ooh, thats a good name'

I know a Precious who is a total bitey kickey bitch of a mare.

I knew a Cyril, Trevor and a Roger at the same, all grade A sjers - all awesome! :)

BASIL?! Surely no horse called Basil can ever be bad! Look at his Basil-ly little face :D

It's the Bellas you want to watch!

Don't get me wrong - my Basil was gorgeous to look at, until you got on him. :(

My mare is called Bella and she's brilliant :D Can be a total nutter at times, but she's lovely! :)

I know a horse called 'Princess Fiona'! There was a Shetland at the RS I learnt to ride at called Trixie - looked like butter wouldn't melt, but she could be a little monkey sometimes!

Andy isn't the best name or any other human name.

Too many innuendos, for example:

"Just going to ride Andy."
"Had a brilliant ride on Andy the other day, really worked up a sweat."

Made worse by the fact I have a lot of friends also called Andy. :p

My first pony was called Toe-rag and then I had a pony called Bronco. I think they are great names!

Meet Bronco - he looks so crazy lol :)

Went to look at one called Gangster years ago, my friend got on first and he put a massive buck in galloping across the field and she came off. I decided he wasn't for me without sitting on him :D

I really DO like animals with people names. My brother met a dog called Stephen once. :D:D

The two scariest horses I've ver known were called Rufus and Delilah. Rufus was okay to ride (although you had to watch he didn't chuck his head back and hit you in the face:eek:) but on the ground he'd bite really badly, kick or run at you. He used to wear a solid muzzle and he used it to hit people on the head as they passed his stable. Unhappy, scary horse.

Delilah was just a nutter, to ride or handle. I seriously think she had brain problems. She was about 16.2 and strong with it too.

Worked in a riding school and there was a big grey mare called Daly. She hated being on the school and made her feelings very clear.
In another school a shetland called Pickles. Apparently he was lovely to ride but it took 3 of us to tack him up.

Hope this doesn't offend too many, but there's surely a limit to how many can be called "Blue"?
There was a warmblood on a previous yard called "Nigel", it suited him!
