Anyone planning to attend today wrap up warm! Rather a lot of soggy cold people here already 🙃.

Equidry is keeping my knees dry! Technically my seat is undercover but only just. Made it in time for the first horse. This is Toledo de Kerser.

Is anyone else having trouble with Radio Badminton online? Can’t get it working at all, the play button is totally dead. Tried a few browsers… 🙃

What a difference a day makes - I watched most of it in the covered stands in a top and gilet yesterday with sunglasses on!

Have a fab day TP despite the wet weather :)

The dressage arena had been holding up well to the rain, but is now very deep, muddy and cut up at the spot where the competitors do their first and final halts.

It’s not a great start to your test when you have to halt in a bog.

Has anyone managed to watch the livestream from.the beginning if coming to it late? I might miss the start of xc tomorrow so was hoping to be able to watch from the start. I'm sure it was possible last year. I'm watching on Fire stick this year.

I'm gutted for some of my barn friends who have gone all the way to the UK for badminton, in the rain!
Yes it’s a bit of a shame, the worst weather they’ve had at Badminton for years, plus a small number of entries too. But I’m sure they’ll have a great time whatever.

Good move.

Thank goodness that the weather forecast for tomorrow is much better, but that's a heck of a lot of rain that came down today.

These are my feet after a short walk today from the car to the main arena, and then a wander around the trade stands. Walked the whole cross country course in the same jeans/shoes yesterday and came back clean.

Glad that I had a 4x4 when going slightly uphill leaving the car park.

Yikes! Just heard they’ve got the tractor out to pull cars out of the car park. Bit worried what tomorrow will be like. I dont have any wellies on me and I’m resigned to getting covered in mud!

That is what secret mode was invented for.

He said that a 97cm triple bar with a large drop into the pond is there to simply penalise good xcountry horses with 11 penalties.

He said a good horse would jump carefully, likely dragging its back legs on the fence and triggering the MIMs clip. A less careful horse will jump bold over it, not get 11pens but land deep in the water.

I’ve seen Hope valley and townfields fb posts and can’t believe how muddy it looks. What a shame for everyone.

Townfields said they’ve lost over £1000 of stock due to mud - terrible.

That is terrible!

But I hope its sold as damaged or donated to charity at a later date and not just binned.
