Blue & White, Black & Blue, Red & a Bit of Green: Shelford Pony Squishing Report

Fab report - and fantastic result - well done both!!

Crikey at the bad news - keep growling and kicking and you WILL beat it!

Thank Bustermartin. I had the overwhelming desire to abbreviate you to "Bu-m" or "Bu-mar"....childish, I know, but hopefully I'll keep my sense of humour for the next year or so.:D

Fantastic report and congratulations on the win - always look forward to your reports as they're so upbeat :)

As for the chemicals - that sucks, PMA, chin up and kick on YOU will win that one too

Upbeat, that's me!:) Might be more beatup for a while but there will still be reports I hope.:p

A Win, FANTASTIC :D, love him, though I do have to say he looks quite big to me but when you 5ft nothing everything looks big, LOL :D

As for the other thing , like everyone else has said GO KICK ASS & show it whose boss, the very best of luck with you treatment, :)

I thought he'd grown too so he might well be 15.1, just thinks he's 17.1 and the world revolves around him.

I plan to kick ass but might need some of my own Baydale-stylie motivational butt-kicking now and again!

I meant "freak" in the nicest possible way! As you know, I have a soft spot for freakiness. :D

VERY well done, all of you. And couldn't have been better timed.

You know my thoughts on the other - kick on. :)

Huge well done Baydale! :D Coloured ponies absolutely rock! That photo reminds me sooo much of the little coloured chappy I ride - just full of life, so much fun and rather good at pulling off a tidy dressage mark!

As for you - loads of good luck and best wishes winging their way to you from the Hattikins camp. :) xx

I said it all yesterday, ponies rock! He has def been on the 'growmore' though.

BTW Buckminster was in may this year, it's even longer since you rode him.

As for the other stuff, well it daren't mess with you when you mean business.

He and Floss looked very good together didn't they? Maybe I should be changing my mindset re little horses?:p

 was it really?! Just as well I've been teaching her regularly on him then. The joke last week was that we (me on ground shouting instructions, her on top, wrestling) couldn't even get him on the bit...he's a joker, that one!;)

I'm going to have to be even more feisty than normal now aren't I?

Oh I know, freak doesn't necessarily mean odd, it can be a term of endearment.:p Anyway, the freak's timing was immaculate, and I shall be kicking for all I'm worth re the other stuff.:)

My OH doesn't agree about coloured ponies and has in the past threatened to disown me if I bring one home. When he heard C had been squished by Ralph he said he should be sent back to the reservation for being so naughty!

Thanks for the other stuff too.:o

My OH doesn't agree about coloured ponies and has in the past threatened to disown me if I bring one home.

I am SO going to sneak the GSCH into a crew yard one day. I don't know how I'll get that done but seeing the reaction when you announce he's the new hunter will be worth it! :D

Ralph rocks - such a cool little dude. (Tanya's is rather scrummy as well isn't it?! I've had my eye on that one at the last couple of events too :p)

As for the rest, we've said it all. I think with all the positive vibes you've got from everyone on here, plus all of your other friends, between us all we'll have it's nasty little ass kicked in no time at all

Well done another rosette - I am horribly jealous now and will have to resort to gymkhana (do they still have the monte carlo:o) and clear round!:D

So sorry about your cancer, really positive thoughts about not vomiting, beating it in record time and coming out the other side strong.:)

Great Report, well done :) :)

On the other stuff my stepdad had throat cancer about 12 years ago now, he found it very much mind over matter and he kicked it to the kerb!!! I think he'll be here forever lol. You can do it!!!

Sounds like a brilliant win but So Sorry to hear your bad news Can I add my vibes to the many.
You WILL beat it. A friend of mine managed to train for quadrille all the way through her treatment, so there is a light.

Yay for the ickle B&W one :D He's such a dude!

And as for the other thing - kick it and kick it hard. Best of british with the ol' treatment et al. Oh and to offset the nausea, polos and ginernuts really help to settle the stomach (tried and tested in relation to meds over here ;) )

Anyone that can receive that kind of news on a Tuesday and deliver a performance like that on the Thursday is some kind of superhuman in my mind. Talk about galvanised! You keep going like this Mrs and the big C will crawl back under whatever stone it crept out from! And we'll drink to that at Burghley :D

Excellent win and report. Sounds like a thoroughly fab day.
And many commiserations on the bad news - i'm sure there will be some sick days ahead but reckon you are more than up to the challenge of beating it.

What can you say - superdooper day by the sounds of it and a red ribbon is without a doubt a real achievement. Well done you and the black and white pony (not quite a pony buy heyho who says size matters, clearly best things are always in small packages ;) ) .Smashing piccie, one to have on the wall :) Thoughts are with you with regards to the treatment, kick on and chin up. Once again well done on your super result.

Love the B &W pony, what a dude and what a result.

As for the other, keep smiling like you are in that lovely photo, hold your head high and kick it into touch ASAP, and get Ma Baydale baking gingernuts for the icky days! hopefully they will be few and far between:)

That can't be the same pony that Monty and I spent several hours giving a lead to back and forwards and back and forwards over the baby ditches at Grange-de-Lings surely?

A-mazing! :). Now could you send some wimming vibes to us for Sunday please as there is £150 prize for winning our section!!!

Anyway am busy writing you a long FB message ('oh joy' I hear you shout!) but as always, you know where I am, both physically and electronically so make use of me! Keep on keepin' on..... ;)

Sheeesh Baydale - that's quite a rollercoaster of a report

What a fabby performance from the B&W one (well due given his Mum squishing capers, the monkey!). He really pulled it out of the bag, with a bit of help from Kermit :D

As for the other thing - it picked the wrong pony-squisher to mess with  . Sending you massive "anti-vomit, C beating, get-better-super-fast* vibes. You don't strike me as the type of person to let this stand a chance :). Plus the combined might of HHO is right behind you - a force to be reckoned with :p.

Go Kick ass.....ponies and otherwise ;)

Congrats on the win, your pic looks lovely.... you can't beat ponies that make you grin from ear to ear like that, they're priceless!!

Sorry to hear about your other news too.... Stay strong, show it you mean business and im sure it'll all disappear in no time at all!!

Thanks B_g, he certainly has the ability to make you grin. :)

What a fab pony squishing result the other is rubbish :( Am sure you will be fine and beat it back into obscurity where it belongs.

Congratulations on your win as 'step mum' if you treat the set back with the same commitment you show to your riding you will soon have it beat:)

Super result with the B&W one :) So sorry to hear about the cancer, had to read the last paragraph three times as was convinced I must have misread it. I'm sure with your attitude to life you'll get it licked in double quick time. Keep your chin up
