Boggle- USA bound!

He does that when he’s been told off, which he had because he tried to stick a paw out. When he’s feeling really like he’s been unfairly told off the top lip overhangs sooooo much and he has the most petulant expression 😂

He’s got so much character and a lot of spirit!

And yes quite the shape. And when he wants to, he really moves rather well for a little Morgan pony thing.

Appreciate all the name suggestions!! I am somewhat apprehensive about the 5 hour flight to get her home though. Hopefully she will just sleep.

Wow just looking at this horse at the moment and thinking I can’t believe that he’s alive, and looks like this.

He is acting like he owns the place though, he’s very proud of himself. The Boggle vibes are real! His seller just sent me videos of a rather gorgeous black version of him and I had to sit on my hands given my history of buying my ponies their own pet pony 🙈

It will be interesting to see what saddle will work for him and if I’ll even be able to fit my arse on that back!

Highly suggest looking at the brands you used here in the UK. My Kent and masters and fairfax fit my compact sporty little keg on toothpicks pony lol. He’s looking so cute!

He grew a Colorado mountain appropriate coat the poor guy! I clipped his neck entirely before traveling him in October but he’s been getting hot just stood in stall since moving to Northern California. It gets down to 5 or so at night right now but 18 during the day.

So took it all off plus saves my allergies from when he starts to shed.

Ha! I actually think Atlas might measure bigger than Bog. Though his glue on shoes are very thick and help quite a bit.

If we had the thought of a house with land any time soon I’d so love to build a little Morgan collection but at the moment it’s just not on the horizon for at least another year or two. So for now I have to be sensible given I am having help with Atlas as I just can’t make it to the barn more than 3/4 days a week.

Who knows how things will look in a year though!

Well she’s pretty damn cute guys. Though my god, Pepper sat quietly the whole way home at 8 weeks and this one is a little terror and needed some wrangling 😂 she passed out eventually.

It’s going to be interesting trying to negotiate puppy, rental car drop off, a huge ski bag (we came from a Colorado ski trip)and a load of luggage through Chicago airport shortly and a 5 hour flight home!

We are thrilled though, she is just adorable. I hope Pepper likes her! 💕

Welcome to the mad house little gal. You’re going to have a great life with us!

Sorry for the delay! Wow I forgot what work puppies are. Pepper was not at all happy to arrive home to the puppy in her house but she’s now quite thrilled though it requires some careful protection of her good nature to ensure she doesn’t have to put up with her ears being hung off.

The puppy is smart. The puppy is close to outsmarting us. I am certainly brushing up on my spaniel training knowledge! But oh my goodness she is 10 x more devilish than Pepper was!!!! I knew I’d got lucky with her. And dating a spaniel trainer at the time 😂 She’s extremely cute though and hilarious to be around.

Her name is Nyx. Keeping with the Greek theme!

Yeah Pepper goes from WTAF have you done to this is the best thing ever quite a bit haha. I am making sure I take her with me everywhere I can seperately, and when she gets back into the house she's super excited to see the puppy and playing like I haven't seen her do since she was one.

I'm also not really sure how to address the puppy theft, the puppy will try and steal anything and everything from Pepper's mouth and Pepper will growl plenty (and I do see a "whale eye", as if she's being forced to tolerate it), but if the puppy let's go and runs off Pepper goes straight back to her with the "thing" kind of baiting her to try and take it, and repeat! I'm trying to make sure Pepper doesn't get put in a position where she's constantly being bothered but it's a little hard when she does it herself. Her tail is wagging the entire time so I'm seeing conflicted body language.

My puppy was/is exactly the same. My GSD could really do with a shorter fuse as she's taught him very little, in terms of not stealing. Pepper will dish out her own punishment if the puppy gets too much and as long as it's not excessive, I wouldn't worry. Mine spend all day apart, which works well (OH takes puppy to work) and the older dogs life isn't all that different to what it was. Very occasionally, she'll tell the puppy off and he is of course mortified when it happens, but highly respectful. He has now learnt she's not a night owl and once she settles down for the night he's to leave her alone. I haven't allowed him to pester her then, so he's learnt quite quickly. They don't have high value things like chews when they are together, I keep
those for when they are separate as I'm very aware of the size difference between them. It's not worth the risk for me.

Hmmm, interesting. Pepper is growling a lot when the puppy tries to steal but in truth the puppy has not backed off at all. It’s only when she gets distracted that she lets go and channels her priorities elsewhere

I was surprised by how ferocious Pepper was with her growling, good for her, but the puppy really doesn’t care…

Equally I could do with Pepper not then presenting the thing to steal to the puppy like she’s goading her into it haha.

Sounds like your dogs are doing good together overall! It’s such a big shift for everyone.

We have a 12.5yr old and 7 year old, both bitches, and now a 5month old dog puppy. The older one grumbles, growls and snarls then snaps at the puppy who rolls over waves his feet in the air then goes back for more. Occasionally she will nip him then he lies totally still until she looks at him then she will play with him. The younger one will play with him but he is more careful around her because when she says no she means it, she makes an awful noise when playing. He will take things from the older one but not the younger one. They both have time away from the puppy and he is crated at home when he gets tired and niggles the other two.

I have no idea about puppy training but I just wanted to say that Nyx looks adorable! I love those three black splodges along her back.

The Hooligan makes some very OTT growling noises when playing tug (great when he beats you around the head with his toy because he feels ignored whilst growing like something possessed!).

Difficult to say and definitely best to err on side of caution if you’re not sure but if she’s actively waving the thing in pups face rather than taking it away & guarding it then might be part of the game
