Burghley 2022 XC thread

Apart from a scratchy couple, these horses have come out amazing.

Duke of Heartsxx is now on my future stallion list. Drooling over Daytona Beach.

Can't see Bubby's horse (Cola) passing if represented, that was a proper head nod.

Sarah Clark's horse (LV Balou JEANZ) was IMHO more marginal.

Lovely to see so many fresh horses this morning at the trot up.

Baloo didn’t look any more scratchy than a couple of others that passed.

Cola was lame. But I wonder if something happened on the way up (hence late) which might wear off having been held

She is literally the perfect model of an event horse for me. A duke of hearts won the 5yo’s too.

Wish I could turn the clock back a year and have put him to my LePrince x Ramiro B!

I’m still debating if I’ll breed my mare or not, but he’s one to add to the possible list. Mine is bred to event, but I don’t think I’d ever be able to ride a proper event horse

I missed that - what was happening with the flag?

Someone pointed it out to me, but if you watch the trot up carefully, you'll see some well timed union flag waving as Cola is trotted up... the constant looking to see when they're coming in is a dead giveaway too
