Calling all you multiple horse owners.........

When I had 4 horses they all had seperate grooming kits (they were all different colours so I could remember which to use

!)

i do but the one kit has a ton of brushes, towels, picks etc, just gets a good clean, plus it shares the scent of the herd around (guessin!)

Do you have a separate grooming Kit for each of your horses?

I own 20 horses, so no of course I don't. If I only owned 3 horses, then the answer would still be the same, no of course I wouldn't.

I have 3 at home and 3 at a field up the road.
The 3 at home share a hoof pick, a rubber curry comb and a dandy brush.
The 3 up the road share a grooming kit.

I generally only ever use those three items though

One chestnut , one red&white , one bay and a grey !!

My two share a grooming kit. Only prob with that is in spring when they're moulting and my bright bay turns grey! They are both full size so share headcollars, numnahs, rugs. They have their own tack though. Haven't got the space or spare cash to buy duplicate items but do buy decent stuff when I buy anything new.

My 6 share grooming kits, they also share rugs, bridles, bits, boots in fact everything apart from saddles - provided they are the right size.

My 10 share. odviously if one came down with something they would have their own but seeing as they are out in the field together and groom each other I don't really see why they can't share.

When I had 2 on the same yard they had there own brushes but shared things like combs, picks, scrapers etc. This was mainly bacause they would be groomed at the same time so it was easier. They mix and matched rugs, numnahs, boots and bandages buckets etc but had their own saddles, bridles and headcollars.

I have 3 horses, one isnt groomed (Spider who isnt rugged so needs the greese to keep her warm) and Dext and Dougal share brushes and rugs etc they are also in the same field so I cant see the problem TBH :-)

Until Tuesday we had 10 of them here, now down to 9. I have one huge box full of brushes and things and use them on whoever.

Our lot share pretty much everything from brushes to numnahs to bits and pieces of tack and rugs if they fit more than one.

We keep them at home and it's just our horses here and there isn't much coming and going.
