The equine ā€˜behaviouristā€™ woman is a BHSII šŸ™„. Not a great advert for doing your BHS exams if itā€™s churning out people who use their qualifications to market themselves as specialists who cannot identify a lame and in pain horse.

Are you sure that's her riding? As if you find the post on her fb page she keeps tagging the owner... Not withstanding comment about spotting what's in front of you granted.

Loads more comments too, than just the couple that appear on the links on this thread.

"Really sadly for sale as bought for myself to event but after breaking her in she does not enjoy being ridden.
If I had the time and money I would get her fully investigated by a vet but unfortunately I donā€™t so she is sold as a broodmare or as a project for someone else to investigate."
An interesting continuation to this saga, now advertised on HQ again ref 341970.

When we purchased Biscuit she was what we would class as ( poorly broken ) she was behind the leg , stuffy and didn't know how to canter properly almost like she was extremely closed down in her paces so she would kick out going into canter or chuck a buck that wasn't worth doing and definitely not enough to unseat a rider. So because of this we have spent time showing her going forward is ok ( she now seems to try to canter herself as she now knows she can ) we have opened her out and shown her it's ok to go forward without any resistance so would like someone to buy her that will continue to show her the way forward with lots of farm rides, fun rides, hacking etc etc...

Biscuit isn't a nasty horse she's very sweet , no napping or naughty behaviour just as I've described above been broken incorrectly so just needs continuing the work we are doing with her that she absolutely is starting to love.

Lot of money they are asking for which is essentially a ruined horse
The horse was originally backed at a well respected yard which specialises in breakers and difficult horses. They had problems and the owner was unwilling or unable to do a vet investigation. It was sold with disclosure that there were likely to be as yet unidentified / unresolved veterinary issues that the owner was not going to deal with.

Went to dodgy dealer, price marked up by about Ā£2k and sold from field as being backed but turned away and needed restarting. No mention that it had been attempted to be backed by experienced professionals and failed and that both the breakers and previous owner thought there was a veterinary problem as stated in the original advert.

These people have managed to ride it and have marked up by Ā£1-1.5k but I think it's more likely to have a veterinary issue than it's just poor training. In todays market it would be worth at least Ā£10k if nothing wrong with it.

Is it the same person or a different one this time?

Different - don't know who they are.

Due to the physical issues being ignored and so many attempts to ride the poor horse, I doubt that even if you do fix the physical problems the horse will ever be trainable again.

There has been one on my local FB horsey group this week.

ā€œNeed transport for a 13.2 and 15hh from x to y (about 50 miles) on bank hol Mondayā€. No please or thank you. Lots of comments tagging local transport companies. Cheeky so and so comes back to say ā€œI wasnā€™t clear. I donā€™t have the cash for transport or id have booked it! Was wanting someone privateā€.

Not quite sure what she was expecting!!

Not a facebook one but a lady in our village bred from her mare, I think itā€™s nearly four now.
She didnā€™t have any plan about weaning it. No suitable aunty or playmates so she just took the mare away and put it in a field out of sight down the lane. Lots of screaming from mare and weanling which upset everyone and their horses within a 2 mile radius.
Ever since then itā€™s lived on its own (it does have sight of other horses now). Now itā€™s quite big, with no manners and always seems frustrated. I can hear her yelling at it several times a day across the valley. Her husband said to mine that theyā€™re going to have to send it away to a breakers yard that will ā€˜deal with itā€™ šŸ™„ when the time comes.

And obviously since she already mentioned that she doesn't have any cash she's not going to pay if her horses trash your box.
