Is this really a bargain? Because suffolk/norfolk, grass diy with no school is about 20/30 quid a week. So, you have to look after your own horse. Plus the other two. Plus ride one twice a week for the owner.

It is a reasonable bargain as that is an expensive area of the country and doesn't look like you have to do too much (no mucking out or poo picking).

It wouldn't suit me to have to ride someone else's pony in the depths of winter and 14.1 is too small for a lot of adults. However, it might suit someone who has a horse that's retired, can't afford another horse and does want to ride.

14.1 is plenty tall enough for most adults if the pony is well built. Take a look at at any M&M class up and down the country.
 
On advert for a 'sharp' competition horse

'Can be sharp on a Monday morning and is not a novice ride. He does need turning out every so often to keep the bouncey beans out of him'

Sad that not turning out horses is still so normalised, especially in the competition world. Maybe he'd be less 'sharp' if he was turned out every day!
 
Soo many old/retired/unbroken companions for loan today… I wonder how much longer this is sustainable. Also a LOT of cob colt foals but maybe it’s my algorithm.

A local lady closed comments on her post as she asked for NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS guys!! She was very annoyed that people were suggesting if she couldn’t afford her retired teen TB she PTS rather then fob him off.

Not a bad deal for someone time rich with an unridden horse of their own, young or retired.
 
Looking for a full loan home over the winter (until March) and looking for a rider who can school the pony on and get them going nicely off the lead rein.

Free schooling livery anyone? Have not so much fun, do the whole horrible winter slog, work really hard…then hand pony back just as the weather is looking up and the pony is starting to be fun to ride.

I'm seeing a lot of colt foals, too. Mostly cobs, but quite a few Fells. Always with the tag line 'don't have the time'. It's like they don't think through breeding...:rolleyes:

Also untraceable as well. 😩 all to make 15hh but are teeny tiny. Asked for pictures of ones mum and dad as think he’s a nice sort and worth a risk for someone I know… multiple colts in a barn from the photos. She said she’d ask the man she got them off if he saw the mare when he picked them up. It’s only 5 months old. 😭😭😭 poor little things

Can you remember what the outcome was
 
Just seen a 12.3, 3 year old, loves attention and cuddles so would be an ideal first pony!!!

The pic of the poor pony is terrible. It is a pic with the pony side on but it's withers look about 3" higher than the bum and the neck looks far too small for the rest of the horse. I don't believe the pony can be that poorly put together so that can't be the best picture they have.

I think she’s now looking for “cheap” retirement livery because no one is sympathetic she’s struggling financially/emotionally. 👀 she appears to have bought 2 new ones and has had this one out on full loan multiple times since he became an issue. Always a source of drama as one of her loaners was broncked off quite badly a few years ago and got the vet out (? I think it was loaner) and was basically told it wasn’t fit to be a riding horse with it’s multiple issues and when it went home owner immediately tried to loan out again as a sensitive schoolmaster? Then OG loaner brought receipts when pointing out it wasn’t right. 😩 I feel for the poor sod. Either look after him or let him rest.

After 15 years, if nobody has managed to manifest the amazing potential, I would presume that the potential is just wishful thinking.
