Cheeky/ridiculous posts you see on Facebook.

Sorry, but OH has just spat out his tea at 'Psycho Sallys'!

Never heard of putting a height restriction on liveries - is this a thing? (I've seen a fair few Shires/Clydies that are much calmer and gentler than kids' ponies!)

Facilities sound OK but from what I know about the area it's pretty close to motorways and there isn't a huge amount of great hacking. The winter turnout thing doesn't look great either.

And how can you have 'fun' on a yard without a psycho Sally or two? 😝😝😝
I used to have a size limit when I had liveries.
Mainly because stables were 12 x 10 or 12 x 12, also because my yard cover (when I was away competing) was used to dealing with ponies - and at that time most of mine were under 14hh - apart from the off the track tb's that I took in summer months for retraining πŸ™‚

View attachment 164707On the cusp of being a bit cheeky. On the one hand it is their yard and they can dictate what type of horse they want but it does come across as a bit controlling. And in my experience liveries who turn up and claim to be no trouble inevitably are trouble 🀣
I know a lovely TB who is no trouble at all and is less of an issue than many ponies I know. If, hypothetically, this TB was missing part of her ear, would she no longer be a full TB and therefore acceptable?...

Also, if I was a psycho sally, wouldn't I take great pleasure in pretending not to be a psycho sally for a few weeks before regressing to my psycho ways for maximum mayhem?

I feel you would need a certain level of insanity to respond to that advert.

Of all the horses I've ever owned my TB was the easiest. He was an absolute saint, to the point where the cob and native escaped, he stood very still in the field waiting for me to come and deal with it all πŸ˜‚

They might have small stables πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

It's fair enough, I suppose - I'd just never heard of it before.
But then again, if it was just about stable size and nothing else, I wondered why they'd be prepared to go up to 15.1 for the very well-behaved horses?

When it said something about references being needed, my OH said 'Is that for the owners or the horses?'
Reasonable question given the rest of the post!

I read it that there's only room for one psycho sally at that yard and that position is already taken.

Brilliant.

Also, surely every yard has to have its very own 'know-it-all'? The yard I was on had two, a know-it-all and a deputy know-it-all. Unfortunately they disagreed about absolutely everything.

Yes, I saw it on there and screenshotted it but didn’t see if there were any comments, that was before I saw DD’s post but can’t find it again

I really can’t see what Dun Dealers have done wrong here?
I don't like her posts/adverts in general. A lot of the horses she sells under the disclaimer of "is a c**t" are clearly miserable, in pain etc. She also has refferred to an old owner of the pony as a "sky f**ker" for sharing videos of the ponys behavior with the new owner.....

This particular pony was in exchange to one who th family said was to strong. Why oh why would you then allow them to trade for something who had even more issues. Shes now annoyed the new owner sold the pony on for meat money. Poor animal is going from pillar to post.

Thanks :) it doesn’t matter why they’re used it’s best that they’re not, plenty of other options :)
Indeed however if we are going down this route you'll need to start calling out those on the SV thread who are using plenty of ableist slurs - stupid for a start. Probably a whole new thread in itself!

Yeah going "lol I told u he was a c*nt so I have therefore been TOTALLY HONEST" is a cop out of ridiculous proportions. I know nothing about her otherwise tbh but it's not an attitude I would want in someone I was trusting to sell me a horse.

I’ve not spotted them but will keep an eye out I try to

I have to admit that I struggled to follow the story and was confused by the various 'characters' - but this was the bit that I couldn't understand: if someone can't cope with a 'strong' horse the chances are they won't cope with a 'quirky' one. The behaviour of the this buyer was odd in that the 'quirky' pony was sold on very quickly for very little money but I suppose that's their choice...however, it seems that the latest owner was not happy with the whole thing and is hitting out at the dealer (?). A total mess and I feel desperately sorry for the pony.

I had a look. I can clearly see an ad with video evidence of said quirks. Why buy a pony that behaves like that if you cannot cope with it? Young NF ponies respond to many things with bucks - the saddle might not fit or they might dislike the rider or they might be bored and being ridden is exciting or they might have hurt themselves (or the sun might have come up too late - adolescence is hard on a NF pony!). You have to start somewhere and work your way forwards to find the answer. Is the dealer at fault? Legally she declared the issues. Morally? I guess the moral part is where she is upset they didn’t give the pony a chance and investigate rather than selling him on at a huge loss asap.

But who knows?

Private sellers are just as bad, and buyers can be… well let’s say it takes a lot of time and effort to choose well and sometimes even then it goes wrong!

I hope the latest owner can figure out the issue and turn the pony round correctly. I hope it was something as simple as insufficient work or saddle fit. Because it takes years to fix screwed up training/angry distrusting ponies.

Have you all forgotten what she did to tiktok?? And I can tell you now she hasnt changed one iota, shes just got cleverer about how she markets herself. How can people not know about her reputation?!
I haven't forgotten as I also know someone who bought a horse off her from her dreadful online horse auction fb page. It was out and out dangerous and could have easily injured someone when it bolted, not just the rider. I've seen people on here and also on dodgy dealer pages defending her and her flying monkeys stalk you and harass you on her behalf if you speak out against her.

I noticed that the horse auction thing has started up again, fronted by her partner from Imperial Horses days. I reported it to fb but apparently it doesn't contravene their standards, even though it is entirely dedicated to auctioning horses, and the sale of animals is not allow on fb, sickening, the pair of them.
