I'm a bit surprised that any supplier would allow payment in arrears. I don't think payment at the point of purchase is something to feel sorry for. If 'all her horses' are saleable, perhaps just one or two would pay for enough hay until spring.

Many years ago, I did actually request haylage as my Christmas present. I got it too. It may have been the same winter that I got a wheelbarrow for my birthday (February). I was chuffed with both. I hate receiving tat.

Yup. Some may see 'helping family achieve little girl's dream' whereas I see 'rewarding parents exploitative behaviour'.

Yes, I'm afraid I can't see beyond exploitation of child & "attached" followers. It's not pleasant at all.

Hopefully after the barn is built there will be some money left over to accrue enough interest to get the kid some seriously intense therapy when she's old enough to understand how wrong being used as your parents' cash cow is.
Thing is I think it mostly appeals to (sorry, generalizing grossly here) younger people who want what she's got but failing that being possible, want to feel that they're a material part of her 'journey' so are easily persuaded to part with money. It's so, so disingenuous when they must be making a pretty penny in stud fees and I'm. Presuming a platform that size is bound to come with various freebies and sponsorships because it's exactly the exposure brands want
