Up in the clouds
Fortunately the mixed practice that we use is always professional, maybe verging at bit on the brisk side! I couldn't cope with 'fur babies' and would have to let them know. We have always had a phonecall to say 'Animal is out of surgery now and coming round nicely'.
We have also had a couple of 'rescue us' phone calls. One many years ago, 'please will you come and collect your Lab bitch NOW, she is rather noisy' (which proved to be an understatement, when we got there, we could hear her down the street. Then there was the 1st Rottweiler, vet said, please will you come down and get her out of the ccrate, she is guarding and won't let us near her (after she had come round). Sister wernt for her vet, who fortunately was a bull breeds fan, said she had been fine until after the GA. She was thrilled to see sister and be rescued, when she was out of the crate, she was delighted to see the vet and anyone would have thought that he was her best friend.
I hope Zak is doing ok.
