For once we have been given the order of juding and ring times for the BASC/Gamekeeper's rings ahead of the day.....and they've gone and scheduled both ESS dogs and bitches in adjacent rings at noon

The Jaquenetta website has some excellent pictures of the old 'Alsatian wolf dogs' at Crufts/on show benches, bedded down on hay. They aren't that different from today's modern working lines, except a little more wiry/with LESS pronounced gender characteristics.

I’ve just spent the afternoon helping Mr EB take down trees at the shoot and we had a training session afterwards with ze Germans. Erik is now at least 70% burrs…

He’ll have one last fun muddy/water/bramble training session tomorrow then I’ll work on starting to tidy him up (hoping there’s enough coat left after I pull the burrs out)
