Couldn’t help but wonder where the GSP BOB was? Watching on channel 4. Love the curly coat. The Welsh springer and Irish setter are both rather nice too. Less said about the lab the better.

It's on More4 and Channel 4 tonight. Just watching group judging, the Bracco Italiano was very unhappy with the physical assessment.

I thought that too. Not one of my favourite breeds but I enjoyed that the Weimaraner was called Dervla's Dream (even if they did spell it wrong 😉). I thought the pointer and the Welsh springer were particularly lovely too. I don't think I knew of the existence of the Slovakian pointer but now I must have one of those as well.

The gamekeepers’ dogs looked like real dogs to me, slightly biased as the black Lab looked very like our working bitch. Such a contrast to the yellow Lab placed second in the gundog group.
there's one challenging the collies in the agility too, you can imagine that doesn't look like the BOB either.

Well I’d secured a bit of time off in lieu for something else (almost impossible in education) to go today - given the snow it looks like I’ll have to make do with watching coverage on the telly later on! Very disappointed. Wonder what implications the weather will have on competitor numbers as well as visitors?

It was still busy yesterday for visitors despite the snow, I didn’t think it dissimilar to a normal Thursday.

Our journey was a bit ridiculous though, got out from home perfectly fine at 6am only to be sent pictures from a couple of hours later of cars crashed into the hedge outside our village. 😳 Motorway absolutely fine but a queue of nearly an hour to get into the NEC. Then on the way home a speeding car aquaplaned, hit the central barrier in a big shower of sparks and span out across three lanes right in front of us.

I am not driving on Sunday. 😅

I just wish channel 4/ more 4 would at least mention some of the obedience. Inter-regionals today, rally and obreedience yesterday, dog championships tomorrow and bitch championship Sunday. 4 full days of competition and not a squeak of it on TV
It’s not on tv but all of the obedience is being shown live on their YouTube channel

They had him sat on the sofa and I couldn't see his eyes at all through his hair.

I hope he gets a trim up when not showing so he can see a little better.

I know I'm highly suggestible about dogs but I'm watching the channel4 coverage and now I absolutely need a Dandie Dinmont. I think they're the cutest things I've ever seen.

OH had tried to book a surprise trip to crufts for my 30th, but covid wrecked it. Maybe next year!

My friend has one and she is lovely, not my type as my favourite is the deerhound and I had one many years ago .. my friend is thinking of breeding eventually so I will be able to cuddle some baby dandies
