Daft passport names

Following on from another thread, what silly names have your neds got on their passports?

I'll kick off with my lovely late HW maxicob, a substantial 15.3hh gelding who came to me with the name 'Black Beauty Boy' on his white Irish passport (no recorded breeding).

Sadly his numerous physical issues eventually got the better of him, but before he broke, I had hopes of going through the dressage grades with him. He had the most incredible paces and a very good brain. Just thought that his name was more suited to a pretty little pony than a huge hunk of cob :D.

I'd have kept the name though for BD if I had registered him, so that previous connections could keep tabs on him. I did change his stable name, though. The dealer had called him Beattie, but I changed that to Brendan.
 
I haven’t had anything really bad/daft but did view one once called ‘The Knicker Picker’ still makes me smile to this day

We bought a 5 yo to event with a similar passport, he was called Bay Diamond Boy which I thought was like a My Little Pony name. As there was no recorded breeding we paid to change his name and he became Scots Envoy.

What a great name!

I've had some beauties. Blade of Fortune, Trickledown, Civil Action (by Criminal Law). The bad ones I don't remember much because in the old days you just forgot about them and competed the horse as something you liked.

Zastroi was one of my least favourites, Vulgaus Majistralis no announcer ever got their tongue round (though it suited him and I liked it).

Libbyjo Graffiti really suits my skewbald paint mini, but her little friend Pip is called Snow Fox. Since she is neither foxy, but kissably sweet, and not white, but strongly chestnut, it's a complete mystery why they called her that!

Zipper Lane and Darting Green were just a bit odd, but not terrible.

I had a horse once by the chestnut stallion Ginger Dick, which always made me smile.

New one is Ithon Patch, who is passported as bay with a white patch, but who is going to end up almost white with lots of big conker colour spots. So I'm about to ask his breeder permission to change him to Ithon Polkadot, which I really like.

My mare is passported as Joe's Nelly. Not sure who Joe was (presumably the breeder), or who/what a Nelly is...

However, my son (also called Joe) is pretty pleased, so the name has stuck.
 
Chilli's name isn't silly but no announcer can seem to get it right! Franceschiella has a lot of different pronunciations, apparently :p

Trapper has no recorded breeding on his passport or anything of the like. He is registered as Mr Whiley. I do wish we knew why!!
 
My boy's passport name is Packenham, which I don't like at all, but as he's an ex racehorse registered at Weatherbys, it has to stay....

My new girls passport name is Gina, which I hate, registered at Weatherby's in the non TB register, so hoping I can change it!!

She started off as Gina, then her previous owner called her Jaeger (not sure whether its the alcohol or the clothing brand!!) and I have changed her name to Bounty, which I think suits her

Razor Ruddock! It didn't suit him at all. His stable name was aero and he was a little dark bay 14.1 Irish sports cob (no breeding in passport, but we assume some sort of Connie x cob) apparently Razor Ruddock is the name of an Irish footballer?

Rosie was Cyrkonia in her passport which nobody had a clue how to pronounce (including me!) but I only competed her under that at BE, usually I just entered her as Rosie.

Henry is Bluewhite Diamond, which is probably the best one I've had. I think it's a bit poncy for him, but at least makes sense as he's dapple grey and from Kin of Diamonds lines...
 
heres 'Flat out Frank'

it may be daft, but it suits him. From the moment he was born, he was either flat out asleep, or flat out galloping.

Hes almost 8 months old now, and still the same, just very very fluffy.

If I ever sold him ( big If !, although he was bred to be sold) id be very disappointed if someone changed his name.

Neil Ruddock ex West Ham and other clubs English football central defender. Maybe your breeder also was football supporter!

She should be Fran-chess-key-ella if that's Italian, I think. With the emphasis on the chess. It's a very pretty name.
