Hi just looking for an update. Your friend is awesome and we need to sort a medal for this mare

Nothing much to report really, arm is probably as good as it's going to get, bar re-breaking and setting and everyone is reluctant to try as no guarantees.

Her daughters had an op so her recovery has been priority and endurance has had to take a back step for a while (probably good timing!) slowly bringing the horses back into work/potentially looking for loaners/new homes for the ones that are on the strong side so she can take it a bit easier.

Horses have been moved so stallion no longer a threat to her or horses, but is still there as far as we know.

Sats still same as ever, doesn't seem to have had any impact on her whatsoever other than being more protective

Your friend is an inspiration. Can as many of us as possible please nominate her (and Sats) for the Horse and Hound awards 2024? We can nominate her fpr Rhinegold Inspiration of the Year. https://www.hhawardsuk.com/nominations/begin heres the link. I am trying to find a animal heroes award for Sats too but no luck so far.

Looks like there's a category for Horse of a lifetime on there? Sats could be nominated for that?

I have been following your friend's story. Is anyone at all being prosecuted/getting into any sort of trouble for this? I appreciate that you might not be able to say too much publicly if a case is ongoing, but it's frustrating if the stallion's owner has no repercussions whatsoever when your friend has had such life-changing injuries.

She is so brave and so determined. An inspiration to all of us.

Tracey got these today after missing the end of season awards 😁😁

It's been just over a year since the attack, in that year she's been through multiple operations, ended up with life changing disabilities, the blood loss and trauma has effected her organs and caused untold damage to her.
Not to mention a house move, her disabled daughter having a pretty serious hip operation too.

We barely got out but her and Sats pulled it out the bag and got in the top three 🥳🥳

An update on her wrist isn't the best news, it's now stuck at a 90 degree angle as things have clearly moved. The original op was an absolute disaster and has probably caused even more damage. With the house move came an area move so a different hospital took one look and referred her to a private specialist as they said they were out of their depth and didn't know what to do.

New surgeon has a plan and is pretty confident he can improve it, straighten it and save some of the nerves that are now in the wrong places and stuck to the bone that were mashed together. Thinks she could get some use back 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ts main concern is a reduction in pain, as it's super painful constantly 😔 so may be another operation on the cards

Fingers crossed they can help her. She's such a star the way she's cracked on with her life despite the pain and injuries.

I don’t know what she has tied so far but i had a friend with a very similar injury (caused by a car crash) who found that hot wax treatment gave her some relief.
Its not perfect but it takes the edge off it. She got a kit to do it at home for not much money.

I am absolutely in awe of your wonderfully brave friends - both equine and human.

Very well done! 👍 👏☺️

And I hope the new doc can help improve her wrist. X

Satiya is on a trouble causing mission at the mo 🤣
But we are still getting soundness niggles, not full blown lameness but enough, she is missing a front tendon from an injury as a youngster, so we just take it as it comes.

But she's bored as, so there's the potential for her to go on as a broodmare possibly, but at the mo she's ruling the roost at home 🤣
