Such a terrifying thing to happen to your friend. I hope she recovers well and it doesn't have too big an impact on her family and animals. What a brave little mare! I doubt either of mine would do that for me (though to be fair, I'm pretty sure the Old Lady doesn't know how to jump even if she physically could).

get well soon Tracey

hoping you get lots of help with the daughter and horses, and its not too much worry, stress, and hope you can look forwards to returning to your horses, one day no too far in the future

the mare is a saint, just goes to show how much more there is inside a horse than we ever know, how intelligent , courageous, how they do love their owners, just how wonderful they can be

I've only just seen this thread and wanted to add my thoughts to everyone else's, who have expressed themselves far better than I could. I do hope that being home now will speed Tracey's recovery.

I do also hope that neither Tracey nor her fearless little mare suffer long term trauma.

How's things going with your friend @TwyfordM

Not so good. She can't feel or move the hand still, everything just got shredded so it's a wait and see if she gets the use/feeling back, so you can imagine she's not great mentally ☹️

If anyone can overcome it, it's T, she's tough as nails but it's worrying ...

Sorry to read your update TM. Your poor friend, it must be awful for her. Sending good thoughts and positive vibes to her 🤞

Please bump the justgiving page here, with that update on if she's OK with it, T. I'm sure some of us will find a bit more given that news. Who's looking after her disabled daughter, the child must be distraught with her mother not there ☹️

Her older son has had to take unpaid leave from work for now and she's with dad a lot (which she hates) so it's having a huge impact on the family ☹️

Will get it updated this morning, local news want to run a piece on it too 🤞🏻
