Just thought this was interesting and want to here your thoughts…
Nowadays most riders are all using the new technology based tack and using gear they are given because they are sponsored but think about it… people promote these new innovative stirrups etc but actually they don’t make you ride any better! They’re there for the ‘look’
I think most people presumed this was a deliberately provocative thread designed to start a robust discussion - that's how I read it. You wanted to hear our thoughts? Well some of us disagree with you. That is completely different to hating you.Just proves we’re all brainwashed into thinking that the new products work and that we all need them. I know I’m sticking to my old school stuff!!

Roundness? As in horse’s outline?
Or, feed it properly and rug in clean liner. A quick wipe over with a clean cloth will do the rest. 50p plastic kitchen brush gets the mud off nicely. There's nothing new about different brushes for different coats, what's new is putting an £80+ price tag on a bundle of them. Brilliant marketing.

Will have a lookFor those who like the HAAS brushes… Try Leistner, they are eye wateringly expensive, but if you like having nicethings
that you absolutely don’t need - you won’t be disappointed
!
Any exercises etc?!outline is about the animal's arse and overall power (and how it uses that) much more than its head. Get that right and your own hands and seat right and outline/roundness just sort of happens.
Polished Ponies are a main UK stockistWill have a look![]()

Do you find they really make a difference?
Horses for courses. I find they do give a nice finish, but that’s not without elbow grease!Yes just had a look! Not much more expensive that some of the haas so wasn’t too shocked thank god haha

Grooming is something I’m very passionate about so I have to disagree about brushesNo brush brand makes much difference! Stain removal is about elbow grease or shampoo, coat health comes from inside and is more about feed.

I do agree about elbow grease though 100%
A good brush does make a difference though if used correctly I find
Exactly! I’ve never had one bristle fall out! Not oneI'm going to weigh in in defence of Haas brushes. They might have a somewhat bonkers marketing ploy re the horse colour thing, but the brushes themselves are robust, well made, comfortable to hold, and make grooming a pleasure.

YesI’d agree with this. I’m not sure they are better than other well made brushes. The 6 I have have lasted years, are comfortable to use, durable and do a good job.

I can say the same about a pure bristle Stűbben body brush that I use daily on my thin skinned TB. In think it's 25 years old.
Magic brushes, cheap as chips, are great all round brushes and unbranded coir water brushes do a similar job to the expensive ones in stain removal.
.
as an aside I've always wished brushes came in more sizes for hands other than just 'child' and 'adult'. some are huge and really awkward to hold, and I have pretty hefty hands, by no means little dainty fairy digits haha
Have you ever used a haas schimmel brush - i was a total sceptic but its a marvel (cleans all colours though not just greys)No brush brand makes much difference! Stain removal is about elbow grease or shampoo, coat health comes from inside and is more about feed.
