We’ve been making our own hay this week for the first time ever and we certainly chose a good time to do it in this weather! The farmer has been here bailing it this afternoon and I’ve not long been in after doing lots of stacking. We have ended up with 550 bales!! More than we thought - from approx 8 acres. Think we will have enough for the three horses 🙈🙈 will be selling some too.

That must be so rewarding!

It rained here this morning but it's now hot again. I haven't been riding as I thought it was too hot but now I'm feeling guilty for not exercising him. He's out 24/7 on a hilly field but I still feel bad for not riding, even though it's really hot?!

I am actually at the Olympics in Paris. It is boiling hot here but the air b n b is probably cooler than my flat in London despite the extreme heat here.

Yesterday was really hot here we left the second hockey match after seeing GBR win as we were too hot to watch sweat was dripping off us and dress was soaked with sweat at the back from sitting down.

Thankfully today volleyball indoors but still hot wandering around.

Tomorrow athletics and another hot day.

It cam be a bit relentless if you're sitting outside with no shade or shelter.

Yup 32C forecast tomorrow. I am going into the office to work due to aircon even though we can't drink the water due to pseudomonas I can take my own drinks in. I would struggle to work in the flat even with the fans on. It is the humidity as well.

I am off to my parents for one night on Tues to help them and as they still have the towel rail upstairs even though really warm and mum won't open the bedroom window due to hay-fever it is boiling hot upstairs dad sleeps with an electric blanket on. I will sleep on the sofa bed downstairs I might be able to open a window at night to get some fresh air.

Not sure what I am going to do with Bert today he may end up having today off. The perenial good doer issue being he really ought to have some exercise most days.

The hideous heat is back down south, tonight looks awful, 20 degrees 😭

Have got all the blinds drawn but heat is ramping up inside

Tomorrow looks absolutely disgusting

I've got a cracking headache

Hurry up autumn and winter!

I've just finished clipping Bo. He had started looking very slightly fuzzy, and being all black he really struggles with the heat.

It looks like we might have a decent breeze here tomorrow so hopefully it'll take the edge off the temperature.

I am very grateful that this summer has been a bit better than last. I don't dread the Autumn so much if we've had some heat.

I am still at the yard as cooler here in the tea room than at home. Bert had a hose down when he came in and if cools a little I may have a little pottle around the school later.

Please don’t wish for Autumn and Winter! It’s not very often we get weather like this so enjoy it while it’s here. 34 degrees forecast for us tomorrow in Lincs - I rode early this morning but might not get a chance tomorrow before work but the horses are coming in for a a good 6 hours or so out of the heat and flies and then go back in in the shady fields. A few days off won’t hurt them. I’m enjoying this weather. 😎

There's been a nice breeze here in East Herts but I didn't ride as sicknote has a crusty scab (flybite?) right where the girth goes
Louis had one of those last week it looks OK now so can ride him again now.

Horse flies seemed bad this year but I haven't seen any for about a week so hoping they have all gone now.

I think its easier to say that if you like it though. I'm fat and metabolic and have spent all afternoon sick, dizzy and throwing up. Despite having a ton to drink and electrolytes. Heat like this is absolute misery for me. I have to go to work all day in a portacabin and I have no idea how I will do it.
