Has the bubble burst for Le Mieux new season colours?

Hope not as I sell on my used pad when bored of the colour for not much more than I paid as get them in the end of the season. Have to admit I like them, fit well, I like most of the colours & not that expensive compared to some. Yes they are pretty similar colours coming round each year but there are only so many colours that they can only vary the shade/tone. Not avid collector but will buy one if the mood takes me. All the outrage about them copying ideas, well that’s business folks.

I don't like black on my natives but all my work kit is black. It suits better than brown but the brown Zilco saddles were bright brown! Not dark.

I have a couple of NuMed show numnahs that fit nicely to my saddles. I have a black Protec Masta pad but that's the only one I own that isn't fitted to the shape of the saddle. Even my stallion badges are black with yellow words and piping.

I do have Coloured stuff though! I do actually own 5 coloured, rosetted browbands! One even has bling on it!
 
I love LM pads, at least the brightly coloured ones. I'm not adverse to matchy stuff but hairy yellow ponies don't need bandages! The pads fit her nicely but I've not bought one for years now, they were a lot cheaper when I bought them.

Woof wear do nice pads. However, there is lots of negative social media about them at the moment due to their recent ambassador search

My ponies have all seemed to have an expensive sheepskin habit too:) Nowt left for matchy matchy after that little lot.

I was a very early adopter of the bling browband trend though if that counts.......

Part of the requirement to be considered was to do a short promotional video with a shared hashtag.
It appears that one of the several ambassadors chosen is a genuine user of the brand and was the only one to go through the process. At least one of the others used a major competitors brands and none of them have ever mentioned using Woof Wear before now but they do have large followings.
 
They just look like washed out versions of musk, lime green and ice blue to me. Not LM bashing as I have a few of their older pads which were much better quality in my opinion. These 'new' colours do nothing for me I'm afraid

I have a few of their pads, and like them! Granted I don’t use them day to day as they’re a luxury for me so only use them for best 🤣
Not fussed on the new colours, but then there is only so many colours on the spectrum so I think it’s difficult for them to bring out a “wow that’s new!” colour now.
wouldn’t mind them bringing back a few of the past colours (corn blue, missed that one!)

I liked the lime green old style , if they bring that with the loire pad Id buy that 😂

I don’t get it! Don’t Woof Wear just choose whoever they want? And if one person applied properly and got it then that’s great surely?

I think the issue is that they made a big thing about people getting an opportunity to be an ambassador, lots of people followed the steps to do so (creating video submissions introducing themselves etc and what products they like best - free promotion for the brand), and then they went and selected people who didn’t apply. From my understanding, the family that got the positions (multiple from the same family with different accounts!) did not contact the brand, the brand reached out to them!

I must have twilight gray, fig, marine, sienna all two months after release got the pads for 36, ears 20 and boots 17 , i dont like bandages. I have the benetton blue as well, not full

Quite fancy the dijon, i think BB will
suit it in summer 😂

i have a couple of weatherbeeta sets too but they dont fit as well

In addition to the 'selection' process, an interesting choice given the previous affiliation with LeMieux versus people who applied to be ambassadors as genuine users and fans of WW products.

In neither case do I think these accounts are good ambassadors of anything tbh. I know not all will share that view but there certainly are people who are conscious of who brands use to represent them.
 
I think matchy matchy looks cool but personally I just couldn’t be bothered. 😂 I use as little tack as I can, never mind changing saddle pad colours and putting any more effort into clothing choice other than what the weathers doing.

I’m 31 and everything is brown or black. Or hi viz.

Their business ethics are somewhat questionable too. Crafty Ponies weren't the only known company to be ripped off, didn't they steal a Horseware type idea too? They also can't keep their staff at Head Office which says a lot imho.

Not just the family, a youtuber too also got it without actually applying, she's never worn the brand and is praising she wears it all the time which I don't think she has ever, not alot of people are happy with the selection, their biggest brand ambassador dropped them a while ago due to them asking for too much for just a few saddle pads in return 😬 I've never used woof wear before and they do have nice things but it doesn't seem many people are happy about the whole thing

I didn't get this when I was younger but you might be into something here.
As I've got older I buy less stuff. It's not that I'm tight it's just that for me there's no point.
I haven't got a horse now but in when it did the matchy matchy thing passed me by.
It's not that I'm against it , just that I can't be arsed with it and I haven't really got an opinion on it.
I did make some of my own in my husband's tartan, turned out ok.

I hated Le Mieux personally as they never sat quite right on any of my horses and I always thought them far too expensive for what they were. Other ones I liked were anything Mattes, super quality but expensive. Eskadron were also very good quality but never seemed quite big enough for my big horse.

If, and its a big if, I do get another riding horse I dare say I will be out and about making a complete tit of myself in anything and everything matchy matchy that takes my fancy! Pinnacle saddle pads from Horse & Rider in the UK are fantastic quality and their prices are unbeatable IMO, be warned they do come up a little on the large size but that worked for my big horse so I had several of their pads.

Oh and yes I am very much an oldie, nearly 74, and couldn't be more delighted to embrace all the fun colours after decades of boring old brown and black, occasionally white and that was it. Always very much a child in my heart these days when around my horses. 😊
