Horses behaviour issue. And hay

Okay, thank you. That's what I thought, can I double up haynets until I get a smaller hole one?
Doubling up haynets isn't as effective as getting a proper small hole one. If you Google small hole haynets I think you'll find some which are reasonable in price and come in different sizes.

When bridling your horse you can keep the headcollar done round his neck to stop him wandering off. And remove the haynet if he is snatching at it.

axe1312, if you have all these expert people in your life why do do have to come on here, ask for advice, then argue with the more experienced and expert people on here and then start another thread.
i presume you get some sort of 'pleasure' on doing this. You admit you cannot or don't want to change 'your horse' management, if it exists.
I am sorry if you are genuine, for the horse.
See you at half term!

OP I think you probably need to send the horse away for schooling & educating, then either sell him or educate yourself at the same time .It sounds like you are going round in circles with all the various professionals you are turning to, the horse probably doesn't know if he's coming or going either.

I'm beginning to think this is a wind up
I’m convinced this is the elaborate fantasy of a 10yo who’s having issues handling a riding school pony.

There’s no way that parents, who earlier didn’t want to pay for a scope, are suddenly happy to fork out for a “lameness workup” and behaviourist. If OP’d really gotten a behaviourist out, they would have been given strict instructions on improving the behaviour and there’d be no need to ask strangers how to handle this “dominant” horse.

See the other thread if you still doubt this is a troll. Axe now claiming to be 13 and using language that will get her banned anyway. She's been reported, but not by me. I don't care how she swears at me, and I'd quite have liked it to stay so people could see it. I've got a screenshot if it gets deleted.

If it was a wind up though would you really put the full name of your horse on a public forum that anyone could find that could now jeopardise selling that horse in the future because as soon as you google his name these threads are going to come up?!

The only reason I don’t think it’s a wind up is because the symptoms described are so scarily accurate of ulcers and pain. I’m not sure a young person would know that.

Anyhow, soaking hay is the best way to reduce its calories.
That's because WE the forum users told her they were symptoms of Ulcers...about 3 threads ago! Total wind up.

The horse appears to be real but there's no way of knowing he does actually belong to the OP 😕

your horse being the operative phrase there… may be a googled horse?

Name was removed, Google doesn't find them. Only knowing that you should read through the fourth of five threads then looking up a BD record for a specific competition would give you it. I will, though, go back and edit out how it was placed, that I have mentioned in a post.

I agree - the only thread that rings true is the early one about lack of confidence in RS lessons ....but it'll be ok once I have my own horse...
ETA this one

I think horse is known to OP - maybe belongs to older sister, someone older at school etc

One I refuse to sell him, too my parents refuse to go through all this again. We thought we was buying a calm, easy going first horse. Ok, I didn't ask for all this. But now it's happened, and we are tyring our best. My coach is NOT an idiot. Ok, I don't know much about the vet. But my coach is 60, and has had horses her whole life, had been teaching for over 20 year, she's bred famous horse. And knows when a horse needs to be put down.
Providing you trust your coach and YO, I’d stop posting here for advice and simply follow their advice.

A quick read over the previous thread in which commenting was turned off , reveals lots of big holes in the story.

Literally from one reply to the next Axel is changing their story, dates , time frames dont add up.

I'd put money on this being a troll.

Perhaps they have an agenda against the horse / horses owner.

And maybe she's just a genuine young person in need of some help and doesn't know where to turn?
Sometimes you are given so many opinions by so many people it is hard to sort the wheat from the chaff.
I was in that situation with Lari and couldn't see the woods from the trees. It got to the stage where I couldn't basically put one foot in front of the other such was my anxiety.

Unfortunately, the horse is real and she or her parents own it. When the first thread went up I recognised the horse details. It was my friend that passported him and gave him his name. In the other thread with the picture of him riding Prelim that was when she owned him but the lady in the picture competed him for her. I know why she brought him and why she sold him on and there was nothing dodgy in it (PM for full details as not my story to tell on the internet). But I met him and loved him she did not have any issues as mentioned by the OP, she is an excellent owner and her horses have wanted for nothing. The OP fb stalked her, she agreed to talk to the OP mother she gave all the details she had it was 5 years ago!!

How sad the horse has ended up in such a tricky situation.

Damn. For the horse's sake I really wanted to believe this was a troll thread. I'm still hoping someone just hijacked the horse's name, he sounds so unhappy 🙁

I hope your friend is unaware. It's distressing enough reading these threads without having (had) any personal involvement with the horse.
