How is this vet allowed to conduct themselves like this online?

Just seen a comment where she describes her horses as ‘high level, fit competition horses’

Genuine question, which of her horses is high level? Her not-that-young youngsters jump 80cm once a month. Her older very established one jumps 1m. Her actual high level now is now retired.

On that criteria is my (barely) 15 hh welsh COB a high level competition horse ?! 😂

(Well he is, in his head!)

I think she did old 2* on Harry but she refers to it as 3* (as it is now, but 3* then was something different)
Her current horses are nowhere near that level afaik
She does seem to have a constant need to big herself up, I wonder if she's actually very insecure
I think in this case it's the opposite of insecurity. She seems to be very lacking in friends, so the internet is her social circle I think. She seems to have a need to be admired (as if being a vet isn't enough) and if somebody is telling her she's amazing, she's happy.

But if she's not insecure why all this need for people to tell her she's amazing?
Most of us just get on with things knowing we're (probably!) good enough without constant validation from strangers

If she didn't have Facebook, she'd have a pretty empty life I think. Most of us have somebody we can share things with, whether that be friends, or partners. She doesn't appear to have anyone and she's not going to attract people to her page by being average.

Spoilt brats are rarely happy, because they don't have the daily challenges the rest of us do, so don't feel those little successes.

I agree her behaviour screams insecurity, not confidence. Narcisissists are all insecure - they are insanely sensitive to criticism - real or imagined - and so simply double down, ignore, delete, rant etc in the face of any criticism. Which also makes them pretty much unteachable, as you can't learn without humility and the willingness to screw up and learn from errors. So it's rather fortunate that she does not need any training! :p

I’m surprised she is admitting there is an issue.

It’s maybe gotten to the point of not being able to ignore it and so decided it would be a good time to flaunt her superiority and how great she is for noticing something is wrong.
I mean it was pointed out here there was something up with her months ago but you lot don’t understand sharp competition horses. 🙄

I’d like to think that most competent and responsible experienced owners would notice for themselves that their horse was ‘not right’ if it was 1 to 2/10 bilaterally lame in front. They'd be booking the horse in for a lameness workup.

The horse might well not head bob if both fronts are affected equally, but it would feel to be riding short.

Oh, but she’s a big COMPETITION horse who isn’t unsound unless on a tight turn. She’s sound (bilaterally lame in front so doesn’t head bob) in straight lines. Taking her shoes off would make her sore.

Plus she’s a COMPETITION horse so she can’t wear hoof boots, as you can’t compete in them.

If I had a 4 or 5 year old that spent most of its life either stabled or in an arena, I'd be pretty upset if it was sore without shoes.

Which post was the comment on as I didn't see it?

She posted 2 days a go with an update on mabel. She is lame infront and going for MRI next week.
there was also a post a bit further back on Johnnie her retired horse who she mentioned still has shoes on, some comments mentioned barefoot and she was very dismissive of those too.

Oh I do hope Mabel has a thorough lameness work up as well as MRIs of her front feet having seen tonight's 'bilateral lame in front' video of a horse who looks clearly uncomfortable in her hind end too...

Isn’t it interesting how much she and her followers are saying how it’s so subtle nobody can even see it, only she can feel it through her EXTREMELY experienced riding, well I can see it as could everyone who was blocked months ago 🙄

So experienced that she doesn’t even understand basic equine behavioural science or biomechanics

It’s really tiresome, I know she has been reported and it is being looked into. I just find her vile, she is literally doing the opposite of promoting improved welfare.
