How is this vet allowed to conduct themselves like this online?

Isn’t it interesting how much she and her followers are saying how it’s so subtle nobody can even see it, only she can feel it through her EXTREMELY experienced riding, well I can see it as could everyone who was blocked months ago 🙄

So experienced that she doesn’t even understand basic equine behavioural science or biomechanics

It’s really tiresome, I know she has been reported and it is being looked into. I just find her vile, she is literally doing the opposite of promoting improved welfare.
What has she been reported for?

Putting the profession into disrepute. Inappropriate behaviour and misleading advice on social medium under the title of a practicing vet.
Inappropriate misleading advertising of sponsored products under the title of a practicing vet.

Someone has asked about putting big horses on a joint supplement and she's strongly plugging the one she's sponsored by. I don't think that's ethical at all for a practising vet.

Especially when her recommendation appears to be based on not much more than anecdotal evidence of the one horse she's used it on appearing to not rest one leg more than the other after starting the supplement!

A few of us reported her regarding her professionalism online and the inappropriate advice/information.

I had emails go back and forth for a while asking for more and more information, but it then went quiet and I've heard nothing for several months.

I did see she posted about taking a break from being a vet and 'just ride horses' which made me wonder if there is something going on in the background.

Maybe they're now bilaterally lame?

Yes, well, the recent videos of Mabel in the field and Mabel under saddle don't really do much for illustrating the claims she's previously made of the supplement in my opinion.

(Unless we morons are incapable of seeing discomfort, and are all mistaken of course.)

To be fair to the manufacturers though, I'm not sure it's reasonable situation to draw conclusions from.

The app pops up on my social media feed and I find it fascinating when they do a "what leg is lame" post and then they post the app review: https://sleip.com/

I admit I struggle to identify the leg but looking at the comments I'm not the only one, at least I admit I struggle and get the vet or physio to decide!

(to be fair I don't even know if the horse she gave the supplement to is even the same one she's recently 'noticed' the lameness issue on, I only look at her posts when I see something said here 😂 !)

Oh! Is this the super-secret only-ever-to-be-identified-to-vets app that she actually uses?

Also to add to my post.
Inciting aggressive bullying behaviour online under the title of a practicing vet.
(Where she encourages her followers to stalk, threaten and abuse people who don’t agree with her).
Threatening, bullying and abusive behaviour online under the title of a practicing vet.

My vet used this with Max. The app said he was sound. But he was bilaterally lame. It was used as part of the work up - not definitive and obviously we ignored it as he clearly did not feel 'right' ,though the 'not rightness' was hard to pinpoint.

Sorry, my above comment is particularly snarky.

I am just beyond frustrated that this poor horse tried to advocate clearly for herself for 2 years, then gave up to some extent which is so sad in itself but continued to show clear signs of discomfort in her hind end, then developed bony changes in her hocks, loaded to her front end causing foot pain, none of the bony blocks they've done were positive so it's just generalised foot pain at this point - further supporting that she's just loading onto her front end with less than perfect feet...

PLEASE CONSIDER THE HIND END AS THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE ISSUE!!!

Someone asked SV if she'd breed from her... SV replied that she hadn't ruled it out. Just 'AAAARGH'.

OMG someone has told sv that her horse is lame because of her bad riding  .
Except they didn’t and that’s SV’s paranoid interpretation. They just said something along the lines of, have you had another rider on her - and they actually went on to say they weren’t critiquing her riding. SV throws anything she deems as negative, way out of proportion. The irony is - she herself offers false misinformation allllll the time !

Apparently, 'there's no reason at all not to', as her MRI was clear. Nope, no reason whatsoever why you shouldn't breed from an unproven, bilaterally lame mare with widely publicised historical behaviour issues (even though we all know the reason for it). Crack on SV 👍

Please please please can we somehow introduce her & some of the HM people to each other? She doesn’t play well with anyone that suggests barefoot (or that her horses feet aren’t utterly perfect) & they don’t play well with anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Think of the fun they’d have together! (& it would stop both parties from having time to disagree with anyone else for a while?)

There would be peace for ordinary people. It would be like a vortex.

OOOPS!!

Was cold when I wrote my earlier post and now can't edit it - to be clear, I meant

'PLEASE CONSIDER THE HIND END AS THE potential ROOT CAUSE OF THE ISSUE!!!'

IE: Consider whether it could be, I wasn't declaring that it must be!

Perhaps I was just channelling my inner SV?!

Also... Could someone confirm who or what 'HM' is please? My only guess would be one of the founders of the recently archived 'Equestrians, It's Time to Act' group but I'm not sure that's right?
