If you could name a horse

Well I have Nitty and Brown Horse (neither of whom are named properly on their passports as yet) and I want to call them

Nitty Bibble and HMS Brown Horse. However, OH won't let me give them comedy names. Kill joy!

So, if anyone wants to name them properly, feel free!

I did a class topic last year on Vikings, was so much fun. Actually spent almost a whole term dressed as a Viking; great apart from when I was called into a last minute meeting (ht, deputy, social workers, ed psych, parents etc.) without being allowed time to change   :o

Is it ok to call him HMS anything. Technically, and it is merely a technicality, I am not actually the queen.

He is long and difficult to steer like a boat though, and I am practically the queen :D

What you talking about? I thought you actually were her Majesty?

I mean, the old bird in the head scarves on the highland ponies is just a stunt double, right?

Legendary :D

Especially since I imagine you in the viking costume I once went to a Eurovision party in... Kinky doesn't cover it

oh god, the smileys found it on here too!

Slightly off topic but my boyfriends dad wanted to call their choccy lab puppy 'Go Away' ...

''here go away'

'come back go away!'

He is slightly mad.... Dog however is now called Breacan!

:D Do you live in a sitcom, by any chance? :D

If we included my mother we could totally right a sitcom about Rhino. It would be hilarious! She could do all the Rhino things she does and my mother could rush in to chide her for being inappropriate and tell her she's sturdy whilst sloshing Tanqueray everywhere! :D :D

I'm loving the Battle Royale names as it's one of my favourite films too.

I really like the name Luna too.

The only pony I've ever named was a little miniature skewbald gelding who I called Chip which was short for chipolata which is what I thought he should be made into :D

Merlins show name is going to be The Widow Maker as I've always loved that name.

I like the names Flaire, Fancy and Scorch for a mare. Not really sure what I'd name a gelding though.

My friends pony is named Tim Nice But Dim

But I'm not sturdy :( I'm a runty wee thing :(

I don't live in a sitcom, it just feels like it sometimes.

Ok, most of the time :o

Luckily, I've not needed to name any of my horses. It took me about three months to name the cat (there was actually a campaign to call him either Loki or Odin :p but he's far too wimpy to be an Odin and not mischievious at all). My sister had also banned me from naming the gelding, but luckily she likes both his show name (Taj Amir = The Prince's Crown) and his pet name (you guessed it.... Prince ;) ).

My TB probably has one of the worst race names ever. It's 'Home By Now', luckily her pet name is Melody.

The chestnut mare is Caporii/Carrie and the grey filly is GKJ Hanoonah/Floss (she was given her pet name by her breeder's young son and it suits her, especially if you couple it with 'boss' to make it Floss-boss as she's so bossy :p ).

OH want's to call Nits Event Horizon. How geeky! Doesn't help that her sire is Green Horizon! If there wasn't a film called it I'd like it but people would just think it was after the film!

Yer, that would be cool if it wasn't for the film... How about horizontal, as in, so laid back she's... :p :D

I flipping hated Event Horizon. Grrr! Now all I can think about is Sam Neill with out eyes because 'he didn't need them!'

Sorry :( I don't like it either. Which is why I won't do it! It would be a good name if it weren't for the film.

I should try and think of something sciencey to call her though. Hmm...
