This is getting very sad. It's quite one thing to muse about how a will might have been written, and quite another to pay to access it and then plaster details about the will on a public thread, for people to pick over. And then play silly wellies with emojis ☹️.

Be curious about it in your own time, if you want, but I strongly feel that boundaries of what is acceptable and what are not are being crossed here 😬.
who has plastered details about the will on the forum? I haven't and I can't see anyone else has. The details I posted are from the grant of probate. This info. is normally included in local papers as a matter of course as it is the public domain. So I can see no reason why it can't be posted here.

I'm sorry the thread hasn't gone the way you wanted it to. However there are different views on this and I think it is reasonable that they are allowed to be made in order to see what actually happened. I'm not aware that the comments are offensive. There is no reason why someone should't access a will. It is in the public domain otherwise the probate office wouldn't allow it. Without accessing the will it would have been difficult to understand what happened.

Why does talking about what happens when people die and afterwards (particularly regarding money) make people so uncomfortable? Personally I do not think it’s disrespectful to discuss the content of the will or the value of the estate. Both are very relevant to this discussion.

In my opinion if you receive a terminal diagnosis you should re-home or pts your animals whilst you are living and have control over it, rather than leaving instructions which may not be properly followed after your death. Particularly if you have lots of animals and they are difficult to re-home. It is very sad that Janet George’s wishes have not been followed, but this situation is not hurting her. It is terrible for these poor horses to be passed from one unsuitable home to another for the rest of their lives. It is particularly ironic and sad given the effort that JG made to ensure that the horses she was selling were well matched to their new owners.

You have no idea of the value of the estate and how they would have to be paid.
When my MIL died the bank arranged a cleaner, someone to cut the grass, asked the children what they wanted out of the house, sold the rest at auction and handled the sale of the house, so after all the fees the rest apart from a couple of bequests was divided for the children. I can not imagine how someone with a legal responsibilty could handle, the responsiblity of is it eighteen horses, at a reasonable cost,( grass livery at £25 a week, each?) unfortuately there are a lot of people who may be classed as experienced but unless they are charging a fee and have some sort of legal liabilty insurance their experience is worth nothing, in the paper trail of law and liability.
I was referring to removal of admin.
I have been very much in the the thick of it all before jumping to conclusions
