A friend is looking for the right home for her mum's 8 month old lad.

He is lovely. Only rehoming as he has way too much energy for an older lady who's restricted to a wheelchair. She's had dogs before and all was fine so had thought this one would be too, only it's not the right fit. He's a lovely lad and done nothing wrong.

I admit I've been very tempted as there's still a gap where my GSD was, only I don't think he's the one for here, plus with all the recent new additions I'm not sure it would be a good idea, though I'd have him like a shot if he was in desparate need as he's a grand lad.

Anyway, I've woffled enough. If he is of interest to anyone please send me a message and I'll put you in touch with the daughter, who is a dog person but is at her quota so can't take him.

He sounds really lovely and I'd be really interested, if he could somehow make it to NI. I'm actually currently on the boat to Scotland...

ETA- I tried to PM you @MrsMozart but I don't think it went through as the coverage on the boat is dodgy. Could you pm me please if you didn't get it.
Dedication is getting on the boat without even speaking first ?.
I do understand that perhaps you were going anyway ?

I deffo did not @CorvusCorax! I'm just off the boat now on my way to Cumbria for this wedding tomorrow but will message Mrs Ms friend when my signal is a bit more reliable. It would be very on brand of me to go on holidays and potentially come back with a dog so we will see if we sound suitable for each other. :)

God, I love the people on this forum! ?

I went on holiday in May and came back with a new puppy so I think it’s a good idea??.

If it works out to be a thing I'll help with the logistics.

While on a Lab thread. Someone I know has a 4/5 month working bred bitch pup for a new home. She’s not free though, think she wants around £500 if anyone might be looking. @ArklePig

edited to add : I have a couple of short videos of the pup. She’s a dark yellow.

Would you be able to say why? Just to help any other potential adopters? I have a café customer who was thinking of getting a rescue pup…

He's just a full of energy young lab from working line and the owner is a disabled lady in a wheelchair. Not a match made in heaven. He's pretty well trained and is a kind dog, they're just not right for each other as he needs an active home where he can be out and doing most of the day. I admit to still being tempted as I met him when he was a dot and liked him then.

I’ve messaged a friend who is married to a keeper up that way.

A working sort of home would be just the thing I think. Here with me he'd be outside most of the day as the Grots are, but not working. The Grots don't mind what they're doing, plus they're getting to the age where lying at my feet on a fluffy rug is more than acceptable, whereas I think he'd like his brain to be a bit more active.

Wish I had not read this .

You know you want her!

I don't think she will succumb to peer pressure but this feels a just reason for trying. If you are allowed to send pics I reckon DM her with a few...

Especially if he’s black, then she has the full colour spectrum!

This thread is not what I need to read I better help to de clutter the attic , that’s where MrGS is atm .

Go on, go on, go on!
